Two of our employees stayed here and although we have stayed in more than 50 different guest houses all over South Africa, this one really stood out and the owners of Goggas Nest were really accommodating when our guys had to be out early.

I loved every bit of my stay. The room is enormous and not just comfortable but very attractive. The vast garden is beautiful, with a terrific location by the lake. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent, both in quality and quantity. Gary and Lettie, who came to the airport to pick me up, were absolute superstars when I arrived but was delayed. They waited for ages, helped me get a SIM card, and even assisted two stranded tourists while they were waiting for me. It made my stressful arrival a whole lot easier. I'll be sure to stay here again before I leave the country.

Very grateful that I had a chance to stay at Goggas Nest. Such an incredibly warm and welcoming environment thanks to the kindest hosts and staff, and set in the most beautiful and peaceful location. It exceeded all of my expectations and has quickly become one of my favourite accommodations on the continent. The food at the restaurant on-site is incredible — homemade and memorable. The rooms are beautiful and thoughtfully decorated. And best of all the people (who I’m happy to now call friends). Big thanks to Gary and Lettie and their amazing family, as well as Manzi and the rest of the Goggas team, for taking such great care of me. Truly recommend this stay!

There is a beautiful view overlooking the lake. The bar is full of almost any drink. The owner is the best company you will ever need. If you want to relax or do business this is the correct place.

The location is extremely difficult to find, even with GPS. I booked for 4 people (2 couples) but only the other couple (our friends in a separate car) found the place, only because after driving around the found a person who knew the place and drove in front of them. The GPS works only until you pass the airport, then you are on your own. We, my husband and I, haven't been so lucky to find someone to show us the right way. We got totally lost and had no connection to phone the host. We had to give up, turned around and entered South Africa to find a place to stay there (in the middle of the night). A very frustrating experience. Our friends said the breakfast service in the morning was very slow (they waited 45 minutes) and the payment by card was difficult and time consuming because of the bad reception / connection there.

We didn't find the place but our friends stayed there and loved nearly everything about it. Apparently it is very nice there: the beautiful and safe location, the great chalet, the very good food, the friendly and helpful host.
