I loved everything!

Bamboo lodge is a hidden gem. The property goes over and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The staff are very hospitable, warm and welcoming and will do anything within their reach to make your accommodation as comfortable as possible. The accommodation costs are also budget friendly. This is a very easy recommendation for me. I will definitely be back.

I wish I had longer!

I booked Bamboo lodge at the last minute, without knowing what to expect and couldn't have got luckier. From the start, Christelle and her daughter Therese made my stay like a home from home. The property itself in Lome is very close to the airport and a short walk to the beach front, and easy to get to all the major places in the city I wanted to go to. The place itself was spacious and very secure. The rooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean, roomy, and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was made by Therese on demand each morning and lovely. It’s much more than that though, after an initial question via Booking .com about airport transfers, Christelle enquired about my plans and if I needed any help. She ended up being basically a cross between a tour operator and your mum, suggesting places, advising on logistics and putting me in touch people who she personally would trust and recommend. Further more, when I came back from a trip up north, rather than go out and look for dinner, ate on her terrace at the family table, hearing fantastic stories of the places she’s lived and visited, and the history of the hotel. It really did feel like a family reunion and coming home to a long lost aunt. As a solo female traveller, this was just the icing on the cake. I can’t recommend this highly enough.

Had some hiccups with the internet while on conference calls.

Loved the staff, the location, great breakfast, and the overall experience. The team at Bamboo Lodge went above and beyond to make my stay wonderful. From organizing tours, to giving local advice, assisting me when an ATM ate my bank card, to being patient as I stumbled through my French. I greatly appreciated being welcomed into their family.

A really fantastic place to stay - family run and really helped me while in Togo whether in Lome or my next stop on my trip. Located in a safe neighbourhood with easy access to popular places in the city. Very good breakfast and amenities in the room. Would highly recommend in every regard.

Can’t think of any as our stay was busy and short.

The property was very clean throughout. We had a comfortable night sleep. The staff were polite, pleasant and exceptional with some errands we needed to make. We had a normal breakfast which was tasty and some choices of beverages.

The hotel is a large guest house with several rooms. It's location is walking distance from nice sandy beaches and is quite central. We had a very nice, quiet, comfortable and spotless room. All facilities were modern, new and excellent (great shower and A/C). The owner and family are very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was superb.

Nothing, she did a very good job

1. Mme Christelle, she's a wonderful hostess, her support was just invaluable getting around all the way from Benin to Togo, she made it just possible to move despite the language difficulties. 2. The breakfast was superb 3. The room well kept and tidy 4. The environment and ambience nice. 5. I also liked the fact that her place was right close to some Nigerian food joints.

Nothing much other than my internet in the room was kind of weak and I dropped out of a meeting twice but that is no big deal.

The location was amazing. Centrally located and very quiet with a home-away-from home feel. Christelle was incredible, updating me and checking on me in the run up to and during my visit. The property manageress Therese looked after me like she would her mother. Thank you dear Therese. My designated driver Koffi was heaven sent. Such a darling too. I totally recommend this place. The room is big , the breakfast is excellent, the owner is really helping with plenty of advice and with all the stuff you might need while being there (money exchange, transportation in and out of Togo etc.). She cares about the safety and wellbeing of her customers, always willing to help. Thank you so much BAMBOO LODGE and keep on providing such amazing services!
