Be aware of a few things: It's locaed on a steep hill so there's a lot of climbing. Second, there are no restaurants open in the bay after 6 PM so you need to order dinner early or take a vehicle out to a restaurant in the evening. Third, the bungalows aren't air conditioned so it can get hot a night if the weather is hot.

This is a good place to stay if you want to snorkel in the morning before the crowds come. Bungalows are big and clean with good views of the bay. The restaurant is good and staff is friendly as usual in Thailand. The bay has a lot of coral and fish.

The walkways to the rooms were in poor condition and need addressing. The room cleanliness was average, the bathroom was in poor state of repair - the shower was 2 shower heads on the same holder, 1 was hot and one cold and you had to try to balance the flows not to get burnt. It would definitely benefit from Air conditioning. The bed linen and towels were also ready to be upgraded.

There is no air conditioning in the room, no hairdryer. Room is very simple with just basic things. Floor in the bathroom was soapy and slippery.

Restaurant is only open (and the bar too) until 6,30 p.m. This is big limitation. Beach is some times crowded, maybe due the good diving spots...

Nice huts above the bay. We had four of them, every cottage is different, with different view and orientation. Restaurant is good, with stunning view. Its very quite place far away from night life. So if you are party person this is not for you. 😁 Almost private beach.

The island has too much tourism and is overcrowded. The sea was rough end Dec due to mousson and little visibility in the corals on the beach. Garbage on the beach after every tide. Plastic pollution

Terrible access to the resort. If you don’t have a motorbike it will be difficult, and if you do and don’t know how to drive it at all, it will be difficult too. Once you get to the resort, accessing the reception will be very difficult due to the slopes and how hidden it is. Once we arrived, we found a group of young guys who, upon seeing us, one of them approached me without even saying hello and just said ‘passport’. So, the reception was quite unpleasant. The same day we brought them some clothes to wash and they told us that they would be clean the next day. The next day we went and they told us that the next day. We went back once more the next day at midday and when we asked about the clothes the young guy pointed to the woman sleeping on a kind of armchair and told us ‘she’s sleeping’. So we were like ok… well, fine, another day without clothes. Another night we wanted to go to dinner around 6pm (dinner time there) because it had rained and we didn't want to take the motorbike and the restaurant was closed and there was no one at the reception either. So in general it can be said that the place is spectacular and 100% recommended but don't expect good service, presence, or great friendliness from the owners of the place.

The bungalows have breathtaking views, at least in the bungalow with sea view that we were in. The restaurant also has wonderful views (the photos don't do it justice). In terms of setting/views, it is perhaps the most spectacular one I have ever stayed in in Southeast Asia. The food and drinks in the restaurant were also great and you can access the beach from there for free. Also from the restaurant itself you have a direct view of the beach (it's literally like being there).

Great service! Great location close to the airport, with a very easy transfer to the airport offered by staff. Great value for money for the rooms they have, I would definitely recommend it for a stay before or after your flight.

In the restaurant below the music in the daytime is too romantic and the same every day. Staying in the room you hear it and wish it to be more modern. Let's say, reggae instead of Michael Bolton would be fantastic

Amazing view, spacious room, beautiful little beach with snorkeling right here. And, yeah, seeing sunrise above the ocean the first thing I opened my eyes while still in bed will forever stay as one of the most beautiful travel memories

It's hard to reach this place. You'll need either a motorbike or to pay 300 to 400 BAHT to reach the location. In case you go for the bike option, be aware its not an easy ride. I wouldn't recommend this road to any beginner. There's no grocery store or literally anything else than the Chabalay restaurant, which closes at around 8pm. Everything needs to be purchased in the next 7/11 which is at a 10 to 15 minutes ride.

We stayed for two weeks at Chabalay; first in one of the sea/mountain view bungalows, and later in a sea view, front one. We loved waking up with the sound of the waves, going down the stairs and having a swim early in the morning, before any taxi boat arrived.
