Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandAfter reading other reviews we thought breakfast might have had more of a variety of foods. It was nice but a little bit basic.
The staff were very friendly and helped us with everything that we asked. They helped us rent a motorbike and bought our boat trip for us for our next stop. The place is very clean and we were cooked food when we arrived late and we were very hungry which was lovely! You are within walking distance of shops and restaurants and beaches. It is useful to have a motorbike if you want to travel a bit further away.

FinlandWe highly recommend this place! If you are looking for a more peaceful place to stay that feels more authentic, this is the place for you. Everything was fantastic for 4star hotel levels, but the service was even better. The hosts made us dinner and helped us with basically anything we needed. The location might seem far off but its a short under 10 min walk to the 7eleven, nearby beaches and restaurants.

United KingdomThis resort is set amidst peaceful greenery with a lovely pool and the main road with shops, bars and restaurants just a ten minute walk (or use Da and her tuk tuk - she lives nearby). The host Nanticha was incredibly generous, often inviting guests to dinner and offering us fruit from her garden. She is also quick to organise tours and onward travel. We had a top floor room which meant good privacy and a nice balcony for sunset drinks.

United KingdomThere are no improvements possible! Everything was utterly and completely perfect.
This place is utterly SUPERB. Think of it as a 'luxury homestay' - the hosts are simply adorable - kind, generous, and friendly. The rooms are clean and spacious, the pool is lovely, the location is amazing, breakfast is delicious and Mrs Nanthicha, often cooks in the evenings out of the goodness of her heart, and then she and Mr will chat the night away with all the guests who invariably get to know each other and have a great time. They will organise tours, taxi's, bike hire, airport transfers (airport is 40 mins away) and are a fount of knowledge on the area. The complex is only 10 months old, and is a pleasant 10 minute walk to the beach and village. It's in a rural location with trees, cows, chickens, and monkeys, and feels like a calm oasis in paradise. There are 3 rooms overlooking the pool with huge beds, and 2 teak cottages also by the pool. We stayed in one of the former and I wish we were still there! There are several beaches nearby and all are as you would expect a Thai paradise beach to look and feel like. The whole reason we returned to this area is the little parade of restaurants on the beach, serving some of the best Thai food you're ever likely to eat with lovely local entertainment and a relaxed beachy vibe. Ao Nang is the main resort, some 20 mins away by car, and that is very busy but no less pretty with lots of shops where you can get some tourist bargains.

United KingdomI would say the only slight negative is that it is a little out of the way but some people may prefer that. This was also not a problem for us because our host organised a scooter for us anyway.
The host is one of the most kindest people we have ever met. She is so helpful, caring and accommodating. She is an amazing cook and invites guests for an evening meal. Our villa was immaculate. We were travelling around Thailand and it was very hard to leave this place, great memories.

SpainWe had one of the best accommodation experiences of our travels at the Baan Koh Kwang Pool Villa Krabi. The location is excellent, as is the room, the pool and the rest of the facilities. But what deserves a special mention is the treatment of the hosts. Nanthicha makes you feel better than in your own home. She takes care of excellent and personalized breakfasts based on your tastes, with healthy and delicious food. She also makes sure to give you the best advice so that you can enjoy Krabi and its wonderful beaches. Communication was not a problem, since we were able to understand each other perfectly with the online translators. I have to say that we already miss them and we would like to go back there today.

FranceNothing, all perfect
The hotel is at the end of a dead end street = extremely quiet environment. Location is perfect to visit the interesting sites all around. Host (Nanthicha) has been so nice from beginning to end. Ask what you want for breakfast and it will be taken care of. She helped book island tour at the last minute: a car came for pick up to the boat, then island tour, then brought me back to resort. She helped rent a scooter: the guy brought the scooter to the resort so it was super convenient. At the beginning of the street, there is 7-Eleven with ATM, gasoline + a vast choice of restaurants with sea view. Resort is just 15mn distance from crowdy Ao Nang. Resort is 25mn distance from Ding Daeng doi viewpoint (a must see in Krabi). On the way back, suggestion is to rent a kayak on mirror lake.

SwitzerlandIt was an extraordinary stay at Baan Koh Kwang Pool Villa. The staff was incredibly accommodating and nice. Not only did they help us to book our trips, but they also repeatedly invited us to join them for dinner, which was always very delicious and traditional thai food that you wouldn't be able to find easily in the touristy areas. The location is a short distance from the beach and was very quiet and serene in the forest. They lent us bikes to use to get to and from the area which was perfect when we didn't want to call a taxi just to go quickly to a 7-11. Everything was kept very clean, the pool was very nice and all in all we had a pretty perfect experience.

GermanyThis is the nicest place we have stayed at in Thailand. It’s in a quiet area, about 15 minute walk or 5min scooter-ride from the beach, right in the jungle. The hotel is new and very well kept, the pool and our room (bungalow) were amazing. The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming, they invited us to dinner multiple times and the food was delicious. Breakfast was cooked on demand and you could tell them your preferences. Whenever we stayed by the pool we got snacks like coconuts brought to us. Communication in English was a little tricky but together we made it work just fine. If you are ever in the area you should definitely stay here.

FranceNothing, everything was perfect!
Full immersion with the kindest hosts we have ever experienced anywhere! The Thai couple running this small holiday resort welcomed us like family, cooked breakfast and dinner for us every day (better than at any restaurant!) and even showed us around the area (we were very lucky to be the only guests at that time during low season). The surroundings are so beautiful, completely in nature and feeling far from the touristy area (even though only a few minutes by scooter). We highly recommend to anyone who is willing to immerse themselves into Thai culture and don't want to be in the center of foreign mass tourism in Krabi. We will come back !

United Arab EmiratesOur stay at Baan Koh Kwang was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were hugged in warmth and hospitality by the resort owners. Their sumptuous al fresco dinners, shared with other guests, made us feel like part of a close-knit family. Initially planning a brief two-night stay, we were so captivated by the resort's charm and the owners' genuine care that we extended our stay to eleven days. Every thai meal prepared by Mommy Poy and her staff, from breakfast to dinner, was a delightful experience, made even more special by the owners' thoughtful and attentive service. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, arranging transportation and offering valuable recommendations for exploring the area. Nestled amidst a lush jungle, Baan Koh Kwang was an oasis of tranquility. The soothing sounds of nature provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation and rejuvenation. It was exactly the authentic Thai experience we had hoped for. Leaving Baan Koh Kwang was bittersweet, but we were touched by the owners' generosity in offering to take us to the airport. It felt like saying goodbye to dear friends. We are already planning our return and can't wait to experience this incredible place again. Baan Koh Kwang truly became our home away from home. Thank you so much Mommy Poy and Papa Charoon! Thank you much for making our holiday in Krabi unforgettable. It was a pleasure meeting you both. We will be back soon!

GermanyA bit hard to find and the villas are a bit dark inside and don‘t have any darkening shades in front of the coloured windows. We would have loved to have some tea or coffee for breakfast, the only thing they could improve: )
Lovely owners, nice garden and pool area surrounded by lush forest and invitation for a free dinner. Relaxed area and not so overgrowded like Ao Nang !
