Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Bangladeshsome guests in the nearby cottages were too loud. it was 2/3 am in the morning and they were playing music and talking really loudly. there should be some guest guidelines on this
Lovely cottages with balconies, great central location. Room was adequately clean and cool and comfortable.. the staff were nice too. I was checking out early morning, and an elderly gentleman made sure to ask me to take some bananas and coffee from the front reception mini bar, so i could have them on the way.. it was very sweet of him

IsraelWe are truly recommend Pai baan suan. Its located on the walking street so the hostel close to everything. Furthermore, the staff is amazing! They are lovely and kind and they helped us a lot. They also have a laundry and we totally recommend that too. Its pretty much cold in the nights because of the wood, and in addition there is a noise from the street.

United KingdomI would have liked a bedside lamp, although there was a little table and power socket, so I just used my phone's flashlight - so not a biggy.
This place is all about the location. It's in the best area, near the night market, near the river, near to cafes, restaurants, bars, etc. and yet.. it feels quiet. The bungalows are set back from the street in a nice little garden area, which helps. I was in one of the bungalows nearest the street, and although I could hear some noise, it certainly didn't bother me, and didn't stop me sleeping at all. The bungalow felt light and airy, very clean, and the balcony was roomy and well laid out. I will certainly stay here again.

ThailandThe hotel lacks amenities, such as a pool or breakfast, and there are no other facilities available.
"I liked the location, which offers easy access to key areas, and found the price reasonable for the quality of the room, making it a budget-friendly option. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

ThailandThere was a terrible smell in the bathroom and if you want hot water in the shower then the flow is very weak. Also, due to the central location there is a lot of noise at night from the bars next door.
The place was very nice! it's belong to a family and they do everything to make you feel comfortable. I was sick and they even took me to the hospital. it's located in the main street so there is a lot of options near by.

United StatesThey were also possibly the hardest beds I've ever slept on, but after about 3 nights I got used to it. You could hear the music from the bars on the street at night, but it usually quieted down around midnight.
This was probably the cleanest room I've ever stayed in. I could tell the owners take great care of their property. Speaking of the owners: Super sweet couple! I even got my laundry done same-day for only 40 baht. The location is also perfect - right by walking street and lots of motorbike rental shops.

GermanyA rack for the luggage would be helpful. My bungalow hasn’t had one.
Nice bungalow. Walking street with lots of streetfood every evening is in walking distance. There are also a lot of restaurants and cafes nearby. 10min walk to the main Bus station. A rented scooter can be parked at the parking area within the property. (Better than right at the street overnight) Tip: The restaurant „The Blue Ox“ is just a 2min walk away and they serve a full breakfast buffet everyday from 7.30am till 10.30am for 200 Bhat.

United KingdomDownfall - beds are hard however most beds I’ve stayed in around Thailand are the same
The property is so clean! If you’re a traveller wanting some privacy then I definitely recommend. Right on the main bit so it is noisy however for us it was perfect location so we didn’t mind. Staff are so so friendly. Bathroom is a little dated but clean and has everything you need so can’t moan for the price. Super trustworthy staff, I handed my washing in and when it was returned the lady found money in my clothes and returned it!

United Statesthis was a last minute booking and I appreciate the staff for helping me book a room. the room I stayed in was alright for the price. it had all the basics (towels, soap, decently comfortable bed, AC + fan, free water and fridge). the bathroom had a bad smell so I had to keep the bathroom door closed and there were a few bugs around the room while I was there. a random note: the lighting in the room was very bright white which actually hurt my eyes but shouldn't be an issue for most people. the room would be much more inviting with some less harsh lighting. they also offer a small breakfast with bread, jam, butter, coffee/tea. overall the stay was pretty good especially since it was last minute.

United KingdomNothing.
Traditional style, basic rooms very close to the main walking street in Pai. Very welcoming owner despite language barrier, and excellent laundry service. Some bars could be heard during the night however wasn't disruptive. Lots of space for parking car or motorbike. Luggage storage available on day of check out.

the location is SO convenient - right in town, a short walk from the bus station. Back from the road so not too loud. The porch was a sweet place to hang out. Bed was quite hard, so one of us slept well and the other didn’t. On arrival I called and someone came to get us with a scooter and sidecar. People were super nice.
