Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdomfree breakfast included stale, cold bread, meat (im vegetarian and they didn't even ask), random bits of cheese and fruit - basically feels like they were trying to just get rid of certain foods and pass it off as free breakfast or get you to pay for better food. also the owner randomly whatsapped me to check i was a girl ''because of my name'' which i understand is not a typical white name but i literally wrote 'miss' in my booking.
good location close to town, showers were very hot with good pressure, weed shop opposite, room was modern with a fan and ac, bed was comfortable and towel provided, room and bathroom was clean, no bunkbeds thankfully, option for female only dorm.

QatarThey can fix a water stopper in the lady dorm bathroom
There's only 3 beds in the lady dorm. The bed and space was very comfortable except for the fan on the ceiling. there is airconditioning inside too. The bathroom is big but water flows out from the shower. The breakfast was simple yet superb. The location is very near to the bus station and a block away from the grandiose clock tower (easy landmark). The host and staff were all friendly. You can play billiards and baby football at their bar. There's a lift for the bags.

Central walkable location. Room was sizable with a balcony. Friendly staff.Scooter rental right across the street. Walkable to night market.

PolandMosquitoes and noise
Large and comfortable room, however, facing the road, quite noisy, there is no denying it, it will not be quiet in this area, it is worth having earplugs, I managed to buy them in a nearby pharmacy. Very nice owner and staff of the facility. It is the center of Chiang Rai so everything is close except the shopping center. Easy to find bike, scooter or car rentals. The main train station is not far away

SingaporeNo more breakfast or restaurant but it was stated available on Booking.com. I would not have selected this place if I had known.
The stay was good on the whole. I had specially chosen this place as the photos showed good breakfast and says it has restaurant. However there was none. Please state clearly there is no food available from now on.

SpainThe air-conditioning was a bit noisy. And music from some close pubs was heard at night.
The location is great to visit the most relevant places. Although we needed extra services that the hotel didn't have, the staff helped us to get all we needed easily. Even though we had to check-out very soon, they made us a sandwich before breakfast time so we had something to eat

United KingdomWhilst the staff were very nice and friendly the organisation could do with some improvement. When we checked in we weren’t told about the arrangements for breakfast or given the wi-fi password. We were early checking in and so stored our bags in the room and were given the key and told to come back at 2pm (no issues with this). But when we came back no one was around to ask about breakfast or wi-fi. I contacted the WhatsApp number on the hotel’s booking.com page and quickly got a reply with the information I requested. So it was ok in the end, but not ideal.
The room was very spacious, clean and excellent value for money (especially as it includes breakfast). The location was excellent, one minute to walk to the clock tower and surrounded by other bars, restaurants and scooter rental places. We liked staying above the bar and using the free pool tables. Although the bar played music every night between 5pm - 11pm it wasn’t super loud and was easily tolerable if you go to bed later than 11pm (which we did). There was some noise after 11pm from neighbouring bars but it didn’t impact my ability to sleep.

United KingdomWe didn’t realise when booking because it isn’t shown on booking very clearly that the property is above a sports bar. It was slightly noisy until around 10.30pm-11pm with music from downstairs, but that didn’t affect our stay and it does go extremely quiet.

United KingdomNot very clear where to check in or check out as no reception, didn’t see the staff a lot. Bar is closed on a Monday, checked out Tuesday morning and there was no one around so just had to leave the keys in room door. Room always had a bad smell in the evenings when we returned to room, seemed to be from the drains/bathroom.
Good location, lovely set up with the sports bar on ground floor.

United StatesThe owner and staff are simply marvelous. If there is something you need help with just ask and they will help. As a solo female traveler I felt safe and welcomed. The rooms are huge, very clean and the views from balcony are wonderful to watch sunset and listen to live music. Yes , there is live music next door until 10 or so but I found it added to the charm of sitting on balcony and just relaxing. The breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked. The property is in a wonderful location with access to really great food and tourist attractions such as Watts, Weekend market, Night Bazaar, Clock tower, be sure to check out the 7,8 or 9 pm light show. After traveling for 3 months I found Chiang Rai and Bavarian Guest House just exactly what I needed. So much beauty to see and yet very relaxing, I originally booked for 3 days and ended staying for 12 days. I will definitely look forward to coming back and visiting the amazing ladies that made me feel at home.

TaiwanThere is only one single-seater sofa. The door lock of the balcony floor-to-ceiling window cannot be locked. Do not bring food or eaten packaging back into the room as it will attract a large number of ants. It is definitely not suitable for people who are used to sleeping quietly and early.
The side room on the third floor is clean and spacious. The bathroom is big enough to fit a double bed. The refrigerator is large. There are wicker chairs and tables on the balcony. There is a row of windows next to the bed with good lighting. There is a bar on the first floor. There are pool tables on the first and second floors, suitable for social gatherings.
