I recently stayed at Black Panther Hostel in Phuket, and I must say it was a great experience. The hostel is very centrally located and just a short walk from the Phuket Old Town Market, which makes it extremely convenient. The location is excellent – it’s easily accessible and close to all the main city center hotspots, markets, restaurants, and other attractions. I booked a private room. Although the room was small, it was very neat, well-maintained, and hygienic, which I really appreciated. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, always making the stay more comfortable. Breakfast was freshly prepared and quite good, adding to the overall positive experience. For anyone traveling on a budget but still looking for a clean, comfortable place in a prime location, this hostel is definitely a great choice. I’ll surely come back here again on my next trip to Phuket.

The lack of AC in the bathroom is my only complaint but not intolerable!

The mattress was hard as usual in many thai hostels, is the only thing I didn't like.

The location is great, just in the oldtown and I really loved the desing of the beds, great for privacy even in a shared room. The stuff is also very friendly and the breakfast is nice, nothing special but for me enough to start the day according to the price of the room.

I booked a private room, didn't realise how tiny it was. On my last night, 2 men on different occasions opened my room (maybe it's by mistake but it scared me, made me uncomfortable the whole night). My bad was I didn't bother reporting it.

It's very close to the Old Town, accessible to shops/restaurants and night markets. Bidet is available in the toilet and a/c in my room.

The beds are very hard!!!

Great location, nice simple breakfast on scrambled egg, toast and a sausage with a coffee. Room is nice, bathrooms are clean. Staff are very helpful. Lockers are huge so fit all luggage in. The bus from the airport drops you 200m away from the hostel which is perfect.

The whole building gets super hot in the afternoon. AC is turned down in the rooms from 11:30 to 16:30, it gets too hot to stay. Bathrooms never really cool down. Aggressive mosquitoes in the lobby, so prepare your spray. Nice location in Phuket Town, but Phuket Town itself is pretty far from the west-side beaches. Expect 1h/350bahts by taxi, or 2h by bus for Patong.

- I stayed in the private room which was very sweet, but the climate inside the room wasn‘t good. There was an AC, but no window, so the room never sees fresh air - the breakfast was very small

- hot water was working - option of private room with shared bathroom - breakfast included - staff was really friendly and helpful - I could store my luggage before check-in time

AC is generally switched off in the afternoon which is normal almost in all hostels in Thailand. But way the room is designed it gets a bit stuffy if you are in the room as there are no fans either.

Staff were awesome. I booked my activities at the reception. Location is great at Old Phuket Town. Breakfast is also good, gets you started for your day.

The people in it, seems to attract a lot of selfish people when it came to room etiquette at night.

My bed was literally right next to the door (opened onto my bed) which meant that every time the door closed it was loud and blew my curtain, or if i was in the way/getting into bed I would be hit by the door.

Loved the beds, they're like little cubby holes. Meant you had excellent privacy and space to pack etc without being in the way of others. Massive lockers big enough to store your backpack and more. Quiet and clean and enough facilities to accommodate us all. Free breakfast was a nice touch. Only a short 5 minute walk from the main old town streets which are lovely, I went there pretty much every night.

I had to vacate the bed because the property was overbooked. I could have been informed about the same. I understand the complexities but it could have been better.

The hospitality and the convenient location with so many walkable options nearby. Sai is an amazing guy who helped me with almost everything I asked for.

the bed was quite hard. the curtain was some sort of insulating material, not allowing the AC to come through. I had to sleep with the curtain open to prevent box bed becoming a hot box
