Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyAs I already said: I stayed before, so I new what to expect. The hotel is overprized for the state its in. Rooms were clearly used for many years and the air conditioning is old and loud - at least in the rooms I stayed in. The location requires a private vehicle because Mae Pim beach and restaurant area are not within walking distance. It´s embarassing to be charged for the hotel shuttle to get there or back. Still, I like to stay at this hotel for a night because I know about the negative aspects and the small beach, the hotel is connected to, is good for taking a walk in the morning or evening. Guests need to be fit to get to the beach or some of the rooms because there are many steps to climb or walk down.
I stayed before, so I new what to expect. The hotel is in a quiet location - if there´s no party on the neaby small beach - and rooms are spacious. Staff is well trained and beds are comfortable.

United KingdomThe room layout and design is from another era. Probably looked great on the drawings. Not terrible, just nothing where you need it.
In a great spot. Everything works.

United KingdomThe hotel is quite dated and in need of some refurbishment, rooms are clean but things like furniture and bed linen have passed there sell by date. I think the beach restaurant that belongs to the hotel is a little overpriced, lovely setting but if it dropped the prices I’m sure more customers would stay in there rather than go next door where prices are lower.
Location very close to a lovely beach, near to a nice beach bar/restaurant. Quiet location but easy access to nearby amenities. Room prices was pretty good. The staff are very efficient, polite and and friendly. Shuttle bus alternative if you don’t wish to navigate the steps down to the swimming pool or beach area.

MalaysiaHotel is on a hill, so everything is connected with stairs. There's a shuttle to bring you up and down, but often we walked which is exhausting the first few times, afterwards good training. Facilities in the hotel are nice, but have few customers as other options are around, thus it sometimes feels lonely inside. The room itself were nice, but you could feel the age of the property.
Location was great, mix of quiet area but also some amnesties nearby Rooms had two queen size beds, ideal for us traveling with 2 kids Staff was very friendly as always in Thailand

AustraliaThe Hotel really needs to do some homework with room maintenance! room 106. There's not much engaged us for long stay. the hotel location is very quiet (private area) it would be nice if restaurant do Dine in at nighttime. (There is only on the beach that have a small area which fully mosquito) Due visit 3 night there our breakfasts were average, I recommend this hotel need to be looking at food hygiene curry's, noodle stir fry, Ham have to ensure is hot, Supervisor must be on side. I have to informed them I have diarrhoea from their curry, the staff heard me, and she just said she sorry to hear that ...I has been watching them over 20 mins it seems there not thing to be done (there wasn't communication on their own management. what's shame!

GermanyThe lower building on the hotel site and its sorrounding areas really needs to be renovated and he garden need to be taken care of. This then could be a four star hotel and deserve to charge higher room rates. For now it´s a good hotel which deserves more attention and investment from its owner. However, it might then be no hidden gem any more.
There are already many reviews about this hotel and the state it is in. In my opinion there´s clearly work and renovation to be done but the hotel - the upper main building - is in a good an clean state, the rooms all face to the sea and the view is very nice. All Staff members are - as always in Centara hotels - very friendly and well trained on their jobs. Breakfast is very good. Our room was spacious and the bed(s) very very comfortable.

ThailandNo English TV channels.
It's an unusual, modern hotel in its design. If your room is on the top of the hill, it requires taking stairs to the lovely beach, which has a few beachside restaurants to choose from. There's also a shuttle bus to and from the beach--no stairs required. Professional staff who skillfully dealt with my initial discontent.

The location is good. The guest can walk directly to the beach. The food is good for dinner and breakfast.

DenmarkEverything is worn down compared to pictures. Sunbeds, chairs and tables outside are falling apart. Swimmingpool was unclear and had broken lamp with wires hanging out under water. The hotel seems understaffed and without management. Sporatic manning of pool/beachbar and beachtables with same dirty dishes for 24 hours. Dinner at beach restaurant is expencive and chaotic with lack of courses at 7pm.
Location, breakfast buffet, view.
