AustraliaUnfortunately Chaweng Regent is directly under a flight path which may bother some. We had paid for a very pricey Spa Villa Suite and I had to pay for extra for my iced long black, not included on the breakfast. Unacceptable at 5 start.

ItalyI have to say that the service was kind of bad. The people who worked at the lobby were rude in multiple occasions: they were rude when I ask them to help me book a thai restaurant for dinner; my mother fell on the street and asked for ice and instead of helping her out just said that they could do nothing, I went to the pool bar and they immediately gave me bag of ice but its something that could have been done among staff; during the check out they kept on forgetting that we had already given them our keys back, and when we asked if we could use the umbrella to move around (it was raining cats and dogs) and give it back before leaving for the airport they said no; whenever we ordered something at the bar they immediately came with the bill asking you to pay without giving you a moment to breathe, which also meant that if one wanted to order multiple drinks had to pay in cash multiple times; at breakfast we had to queue, sometimes for 10/15 min to be seated before being able to access the buffet and so on. I read multiple reviews complaining about kids and airplane noises. I think that the real problem is that the windows don’t close properly, and one can hear everything that happens outside as if there was no separation.
The hotel itself was beautiful and our room was lovely.

Arrival policy ridiculous as had a new credit card and they wouldn’t excellent it as my booking was made under my old credit card and even though the funds had cleared 6 months ago, still wouldn’t except it. United Kingdomservice can be a bit lacking. staff wise, some very friendly but a lot look worn out and don’t smile when you meet them. check out was all about making sure you paid up and hadn’t taken something for the room illegally, not once asked if we enjoyed our stay. piece of clothing went missing, by accident taken by housekeeper. staff not very interested in helping, no action taken by the hotel. have experienced much better service in other thai hotels. need more activities for older kids, they found the property a bit boring
lovely gardens, beautiful hotel but note that the beach is more a paddle pool. great for little ones but teenagers prefer to be at the main part of the beach (10 min walk).

IndiaI did not like the beach was just outside the hotel. it was a beach side resort but there were no waves. the water was also stagnant as there was a sandbar in between that did not let water come in most of the rime. as a result the water near the hotels beach was mossy.
The resort is beautiful, the rooms were spacious, the restaurant by the beach was beautiful. No complaints at all, we were were happy. The beach by this resort has no waves, but if you walk a few 100 meters down the beach, its the lively area with great vibes

ItalyThe beach unfortunately wasn't great as it had very low tide when we went in June but we walked a little further south along the beach to find a spot for us to swim.
The hotel grounds were very clean and well kept. The location was great, right on the main road, close to restaurants and bars. We had 2 connecting rooms which were well equipped but had to get moved as our bathroom had a smell of the drains. The room we were moved to on the 2nd floor was fine but much more dated compared to the original room. The staff was great and accomodating and the pool areas were lovely, even if a little crowded at times.
