How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

In the heart of Chaweng, everything is close by so if you don’t drive a moped, this is perfect for you! The staff were all so friendly and accommodating! Check in was very smooth. They even allowed you to book tours and packages at reception! I will definitely be returning

During most of my stay there where only couples and people that don't really talk much around - not really the fault of the hostel tho, beds where ok but not great.
Bathrooms and Showers seem to get cleaned daily, the hostel staff is very friendly, helpful and also cool - they have a common are with a billiard table and u can buy drinks and coffee there as well which helps with socializing.

A lot of noise coming from behind the building (live music and muay thai stadium speakers) making it harder to sleep.
Great location and facilities. They organise lots of activities though I couldn't join them as they didn't align with my itinerary.

It was not right in the centre of Chaweng but about a 10 minute walk down the road. Not to far away from everything but late at night it might be a bit of a walk.
The Breakfast was pretty good just cereal, toast and yogurt. Was about a 2 minute walk to the beach. Beds and rooms were clean and comfy but did not have curtains. Was not a party hostel but still social and I made lots of friends. Had a cool rooftop balcony with views of the ocean. Overall, I loved my stay and would recommend it to people if they do not want to stay at the crazy party hostels but still want a social hostel.

Great vibe - very friendly hostel. Bathroom situation is a bit weird as it’s all separate on the landing and only two showers and sinks between many travellers

There is no proper larger space for people to gather. Perhaps once they complete the rooftop, it could be a great addition, as it has potential

Great management, very helpful staff. Free water and close to everywhere. The facility is very spacey.beds are comfortable. Coffee shop inside is a quality one and you can sit and chill and work from your computer easily.

Only downside is no curtains or personal lights for each bed. Also no secure entry to building/dorms, only one small locker.
Great location, cheap, very clean facilities, toilets and showers great. Simple but free breakfast so can’t complain.

Curtain in the beds and card payments would be appreciated.
Great and kind staff, special mention to Oscar! The hostel is very good and clean, location is perfect and it is a place where you have social events but also can sleep without any noise.

Very clean hostel and super friendly staff. The beds were big and it was very clean and comfortable with the towels. Air conditioning is working very well. Super close to the Chaweng Beach. I think it is a great place to stay if you are a backpacker and traveling low-budget.

Great location, really friendly staff and clean sleeping area. The showers and bathrooms were kept very clean as well! Would stay here again 100% (Also free coffee if you leave a review! Always a bonus)
