Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BrazilThe only thing I would point out is that would be nice to have a fridge for the guests if possible.
I loved the vibe! It's inside nature with 2 decks for yoga/calls/studying/socializing/meditation/relaxing you name it! Plus the location is perfect as for going to nearby cafes and even the city (maybe 15-20 min walk).

United KingdomThere were fleas in the dorm with at least 3 people being affected severely. They were quick to act on it and shifted those affected to other dorms but I would say this was the only negative.
Has a vibe going on, very social and nice activities each day. Met some great people here and the staff were lovely.

ThailandThe beds were very hard
This hostel was very cute, it was the perfect place to just chill out and enjoy the nice view. It had a lot of nice hang out places, you could easily socialize with other people, but also just enjoy being by your own. The free yoga in the morning was also very nice. It was about 15 min walk in the city, but with a scooter no problem

SpainUnfortunately the facilities are poorly maintained, for example broken hammocks or dirty yoga mats where the dogs sleep, there are no curtains on the beds, the food is very basic it is better to order food online or go to the village, internet or drinking water cuts for days and renting motorbikes is more expensive than in the village.

HungaryI think the hostel could provide a bit more..like shower gel or towels or curtains in the dorms would be nice and reasonable for the price. Most of the time there was no hot water, which is fine because it is so hot during the day, but if you want to shower at night could be annoying :)
Cody is such a lovely place, beautiful and chill common areas ( a lot), there is a place to do yoga, or just chill in the hammock. This hostel has immaculate vibes that is for sure. The staff is just amazing and very kind. Very easy to socialize here. One of my favourite hostels.

NetherlandsThe beds are a bit hard and the showers weren't great Not always hot. But I have to say the vibe of the hostel fixes all those minor problems
Everybody is so great here. The vibe is amazing and just perfect. Loved the Yoga deck. We're here so often, just playing cards and enjoying the hammock. The area is big and there are a lot of places to sit. I miss the vibe already!

SwitzerlandStaff didn't really seem in a great mood, kinda off-putting. Yoga area used for chill in the evening = quite dirty. And it's necessary to have a bike otherwise the walk back home everyday is a bit too much.
Nice place, beds have a lot of room around to spread your stuff if needed. Nice yoga area and river chill, cool to be a bit out of the village as well, view was great.

ItalyThe place is a little bit more rustic then what it seems from the pictures. All the bathroom area is open air (of course with walls and roof, but the roof is higher then the walls so the air is better cyrcling but the temperature is the one of outside), so an advice, don't wait to late to take a shower or you could be cold!
The place is great if you like to stay in the quiet. Better if you rent a scooter to go to the city (and around) but if not, is a 15 minuts, not bad to enjoy the nature around the place. The staff is really nice and if you need anything you can ask them! The atmosphere is very friendly and is easy to speak with everybody. The common spaces are covered but with no walls, so you can better enjoy the view. The dorm was well organized and the bed confortable!

United KingdomThe location meant that you got amazing views, but it was further out from the town that other hostels. This worked to our advantage as we love a walk but if you want to be in the town, maybe this isn’t for you.
We loved the yoga deck which provided amazing rice paddy views! The lovely dog Jack came and sat with us up there and it felt so homely. The sounds of nature were so calming. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We also loved the amount of space we got in the room, and the beds felt like a treehouse - it was great!

United Kingdomkitchen was filthy- and as town was a bit of a walk would've been nice to have coffee available, toilets were filled with these fly things which was gross (however they were cleaned at about 9am), not very sociable so not great for solo travellers... we did speak to people who had their money taken out of their bags as they slept! the thief came back 2 times (but not when we were there). there are lockers though so I did feel pretty safe
great price, lovely chilling areas, big beds and room, temperature was so fine without ac, good strong Wi-Fi, lots of power sockets
