Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWhy I recommend for a short stay is Cozy House is very Cozy! It is small, just a little larger and it would be perfect. There is a rack for storing, hanging clothes but then you need to be creative to store your luggage? There is a small folding table and chairs to use inside or out but we would have preferred to have another more comfortable table and chair set on the lovely roomy balcony so you have both to use without having to move it all the time also the folding set is very small and not so comfortable. If we had been there 2/3 nights not an issue but after 8 nights it was.
Chaloklum is lovely and Cozy House is in a great location right on a beach, set in lovely grounds and has a great view. There is everything you need at the bungalow and it is very clean. Wifi is also good, there is a 7 eleven within walking distance but as Chaloklum is spread out a bike is necessary to get out and about. There are some other lovely beaches within a 10/15 min bike ride. Host was helpful with all aspects of stay. Would recommend for a short romantic stay.

FranceThere isn’t any storage, so we had to leave all our stuff in our luggage for 6 days. The bungalow is also smaller than it looks on the pictures. We found it a bit small for 2 people. Cleaning every 2 days / or cleaning products and a broom put at disposal would have been welcome as the bungalow is on the beach and the sand gets into the place very easily.
Nice view from the bungalow. The area is quiet and peaceful. Friendly people and dogs on the property. It is only a short walk to a nice French bakery, restaurants and coffee places. We were able to rent a scooter very easily from a place nearby.

AustraliaThere seemed to be a bit of an ant problem though it did not bother us
Great little cozy house! Had a ‘new’ feel to the property which added a touch of luxury to our budget monthly stay in Thailand. Beautiful quiet area situated on the beach, great pool & the best dogs that will greet you morning and night. Definitely a highlight and would stay again!

Canada- the view on the back of a house : they say it is, but even if the house is located on the beach, this is NOT a "see view" !! (see picture) - garbadge all over the private beach, you basically dont want to stay there even less swim there. - some dead water beside the house with also many many garbadge - this is a zero zero service place - last thing, this is not hotel fault but better to know, chaloklum area is very very windy (this is a kite surf spot). So even lying at the swimingpool is not pleasant because of this strong wind.
The bungalow itself is nice but we have been desappointed by everything else : - the view on the back of a house : they say it is, but even if the house is located on the beach, this is NOT a "see view" !! ItalyIt was our best stay in Thailand. We booked this place because it was close to a diving center where I was supposed to take a course, but we discovered a hidden gem instead. This place is perfect if you’re looking for something truly quiet and far away from the world. The bungalow isn’t large, but it has all the necessary amenities. There’s a beautiful terrace where you can enjoy breakfast with a sea view. The check-in process was smooth, and they even allowed us to check in upon our arrival, which was around 12 pm. Since it’s in a remote location, I’d recommend renting a scooter or a car; otherwise, it can be a bit difficult to reach. And one more thing: bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper, as there might be some animal noises at night.

EstoniaI booked the accommodation one night in advance and got everything settled very fast. I needed to check in a few hours earlier, and it was possible to leave my stuff at the accommodation while they cleaned. The house was very clean, cosily decorated and had all the amenities. A big fridge with a big freezer part, AC, working wifi, hair drier etc. In addition, the area that the house is located in is very nice. You can hear the ocean waves from the house, and they also have a beautiful pool. They have a drinking water machine, washing machines and driers on the property. It's really close to Chaloklum, which is nice. In the last property I stayed at, I had a problem with cockroaches and different bugs/animals coming into the house, but here, I could sleep well because there were no such problems. Overall, I really recommend the place.! (The only fyi is that there are a lot of dogs roaming around there. They are very friendly and won't harm you, but they might come on the balcony and hang around. :)
