Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

JapanThe bed was so hard and uncomfortable to sleep in at times.
The staff who let me check in early on the first day was friendly and told me to have the free breakfast. The soup for breakfast was pretty good but having toast and jam for about a week gets boring. The room was spacious and had a good from from the 6th floor. There was room service everyday if you choose and they woud stock up on toiletries and water. The location was pretty great- very close to the airport, a 5 minute walk from the Chiang Mai Airport Plaza and a good walking distance to the Chiang Mai Culture Village.

RussiaI didn't like the noise from the big road and mould on the ceiling. It's a bit far from the Old Town. The wardrobe was not easy to open. The shelf in the bathroom is declined so it was impossible to use.
It's quite close to the airport, the room is big and has enough lights despite of lack of windows. There's hot water and a fridge! The staff was nice.

RussiaMinuses: - it's located at the junction of several huge 24 hours busy roads. So it's extremely noisy in the rooms. - For the same reason, It's very hard to move around. Even with a scooter, it took me forever to just go to the nearby market for a meal, with endless red lights and u-turns. - the windows had no glass in my room, which also contributed to the noise. Also there are small flying insects appearing after sunset
Overall it is suitable for a short stay only. Pluses: - there is a desk and wifi suitable for work - close to the airport - everything working well - AC, kettle, heater etc. - and very clean - friendly staff, easy to check in, and good value for money

We stay here regularly when flying. Close to the airport and Central Mall with many food options. All expected 2/3 star facilities. Good honest breakfast. Staff endlessly accommodating. This is a very well run, budget hotel

United KingdomBasic and functional room, breakfast was nothing to phone home about. AC struggled to keep the room cool even when set on minimum. Didn’t have any issues with noise but I see how it could be a problem. Would not pay full price for them room, but a good deal if on discount.
Very good location just off the superhighway and next to airport plaza. Off street parking and 24/7 reception is a plus. It is not in a tourist area and there are better options if that is what you are after.

RussiaNoise from outside which can considerably impact on your dream.
I liked almost everything here. Good location close to Central plaza and airport within walking distance, super good facilities provided on a daily basis, nice comfortable bed, good balcony. You may put some food in the refrigerator. They have teapot which is highly appreciated. Not too hot room which is rare in Asia. It was pretty good even when I didn’t switch on AC. Many thanks!

United KingdomIf you’re flying in/out of Chiang Mai, this is a great budget-friendly stay within walking distance of the airport. The rooms are a little noisy because of the road but there’s not too much traffic at night so you can still get a good nights sleep

TurkeySo closeby to mainroad. Traffic sounds all over the night, neverending. Neighberhood feels are a little rough and outdated. We had a motorcycle it was no deal for me the location but i recon if you are in need of transportation, it would be some hustle to get around. And nothing fancy or decent nearby.
It was insanely modern and clean for this price. Big old building but inside the rooms are electric clean and everything was new. Dont let the neighberhood fool you when you first arrive. For this price, this new and clean and also distance to the oldtown is beyond reasonable.

United Kingdombathroom didn’t feel clean at all and you could hear the traffic, however it isn’t too loud if you’re able to block it out and there’s nothing the hotel can do about it.
comfy bed and sheets and AC kept the room a nice temperature. very good location if you’re staying for the airport, if not and you’re just staying for Chiang Mai it’s not too far of a walk but just know you’re fairly on the outskirts. fridge was useful and the room was very generous in size

United KingdomThere is significant road noise from the neighbouring dual carriageway because the windows are slatted rather than glazed.
Ideal place to stay after a late flight. Maybe six minutes from the airport by taxi. Service was friendly, WiFi was okay, the room was clean, and we enjoyed chicken porridge and toast for breakfast. Great value for money.

Romania-the room is very noisy because it has no windows, there is just the hole in the wall but no window -the bathroom and the room both shares the balcony so the smell from the bathroom easily goes inside the room and you can do nothing about it because there is no window to close
-good location if you want to be near the airport -fridge in the room -great value for money
