This would have been a 10-star review except two issues. One was a 40 baht per day tax that was not mentioned previously. It's very small ($1.25 per day), but it should have been included in the price. I don't like additional fees/taxes getting added after you arrive. It feels like a bait-and-switch. Second is the Wifi. It's great near the pool and in the breakfast room. Some bungalows probably had excellent Wifi, but ours was terrible. And it is public access so I couldn't trust that people on the network were even hotel guests.

There were two pools and one was for adults only. From that pool, you could see the ocean and the sunsets. The facilities were very clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast staff very friendly. This was the perfect place to stay in Koh Chang.

Just needs a little upkeep done on railings/walkways and some bathrooms could use a refresh. Safe isn’t bolted on to anything. Pillows are too firm and thick.

The wooden walk ways are very beautiful but can be slippy if you have a bad knee like myself… This is a very minor point…🙏🙏

Beach right in front of property is beautiful but rocks make swimming not excellent. Just move 400 meters to right beautiful beach. Empty!

Booked a beachfront villa and was expecting a bathtub as it was on the pictures. When got a room without bathtub, the staff at the reception said they have one beachfront room that doesn’t have bathtub even though it’s not mentioned anywhere. Was pretty upset about it but the staff didn’t offer any alternative solution. Some things in the room seemed really outdated (the hair dryer looked like it’s 20 years old; power socket only on one side of the bed). Beware, there is no proper beach to get into the sea at the property as there are plenty of rocks. If you walk 5 minutes along the beach though, there is a spot where you can get into the sea and swim, so not a big deal.

Nice and serene area of the hotel. Close to the street and restaurants. Not crowded. Comfy beds. Spacious villa (beachfront). Smart TV in the room. Friendly staff. Option to use kayaks for free.

Beautiful bungalows surrounded by the nature, located by the sea. Although the beach is not very big and the sea floor has stones, it’s still perfect for the walk and the sunset view. The resort has 2 swimming pools and sun beds available and there’s a small fitness room with cardio machines. The breakfast is amazing with a wide variety of options, homemade jams and yoghurt, delicious panini sandwiches and lot of fruits. Bungalows are well equipped, each has either a bench or sun beds on the terrace. The staff is lovely and very helpful. The resort is situated near the main road, walking distance to shops and restaurants. If you’re looking for a calm and quiet place to relax I highly recommend GajaPuri!

Fitness facility; upon arrival we heard there was a gym. Fitness room looks great but there only 3/4 machines you can use (for cardio mostly).

We stayed here for 5 nights to find relaxation and comfort during our time on Ko Chang. Mission achieved! GajaPuri offers that comfort in a great way with lovely houses, quiet places to relax, a great view on a quiet beach, walking street around the corner and so on. We enjoyed it very very much! :)

The towels provided in the rooms are yellow, which gives them an old and worn appearance. The bungalows themselves are quite dated and would benefit from some updates, particularly in the bathrooms, which feel especially in need of renovation. Privacy can be an issue in the bungalows, as you need to keep the curtains closed at all times to prevent people from looking into your room. This limits the amount of natural light and the enjoyment of the garden views.

The resort features a beautiful outdoor area with well-maintained swimming pools, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the tropical surroundings. Breakfast is varied and delicious, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive, making the stay even more pleasant. The beds are very comfortable, with clean bed linen. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance, making it easy to explore local dining and shopping options without needing transportation.

The fact that the part of the sea in front of the hotel is very swallow and full of sharp stones, making it almost impossible to swim till 4-5 pm when the tide comes in. They could make a small patio for people to be able to the deeper waters

Beach not great for swim because quite rocky surface underwater. Have to be careful when you step inside. Bedside lighting poor.
