How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The room floor is super slippy, made me fell and I broke a toe. Didn’t complain because the language is a big barrier. The door locks are simple padlocks and it doesn’t isolate rooms from bugs and mosquitos. Noisy in the morning because they were building some kind of structures. There was lack of information about tours and attractions at the reception.

Verified reviewThe view was beautiful and the staff were very nice and helpful. They have a car that can take you out for 100 baht per person, and the trip after checkout is free.
The facilities were in poor condition. The bed was comfortable but the room was very hot, even hotter than outside. There was no AC, only a fan, which did not help much. The bathroom had a constant unpleasant smell and there was no hot water, although that was not a big problem because of the heat. And if you are afraid of lizards, you might have some unwanted guests in your room hahahaha. The walk to the hotel was quite steep. I managed it a couple of times on foot because I am sporty and used to exercise, but my friends could not. They had to take taxis, and the drivers charged high prices because they knew we needed them, especially when going back alone, you can also take the car of the hotel but it's not always available. In the end, I spent more on taxis than on the room itself. If you cannot rent a motorbike, this place may not be the best option for you.

The road up to it is quite steep so if your not a decently experienced scooter rider I'd be careful driving . Walking up is also an option but quite tiring . But very worth it for the view you get

It’s super steep to get to, I didn’t drive a bike because I was scared to take the road and taxi drivers will charge you a lot just to take you there as it’s right at the top. Also check in wasn’t so friendly but some of the staff are super lovely

Verified reviewThe room was very nice and modern. It was also very clean and it felt nice to be around the trees and see the ocean view from the balcony. It was nice to have some space to sit on the bean bags in the room so we don't always have to sit on the bed. The balcony seating was also nice, although it rained for a lot of our stay, so it was too wet or filled with mosquitos to make the most of it.
The views are great, but it's located on the top of a hill and the ramp to get there is super steep and dangerous. We rented a scooter from someone the staff had organised us with, and unfortunately had a scooter accident going downhill, which was really scary. We were injured, but what was worse was we were forced to pay 27,000baht for damages and they wouldn't return our passport until we did so. While this isn't the fault of this accommodation, they were the ones that recommended this scooter rental company that is taking advantage of travellers. They should also make it more clear that the ramp to get to this place is extremely steep and dangerous in the rain, so only very experienced drivers should try to come here. On another note, while it was super clean in the room, it wasn't clear what their cleaning schedule is like. I had to ask if they could change the bin and the towels half way through our stay because they only provided one small bin in the bathroom. They were okay to do it, but it didn't look like they had planned to do any cleaning in the room our entire 4 night stay as they seemed surprised I had asked.
