Very chilled place, nothing we didnt like about Mangrove House.

All about the location. situated in the Old Town in Koh Lanta this old style Guest House extends over the sea giving fantastic views. Its in the town so there are places to eat and drink nearby. Some of very good quality.

It is in the old town in the east side of the island with no beach access.

We love the fact that the rooms are perched above the sea with stairs down to the mangrove for further exploration during low tides. The view from the front rooms of the ocean is very calming. The massive family room. The beds are soft and comfortable. The aircon works well. The hammock and outside fan and light. The outdoor shower is perfect in the hot and humid weather. The friendly and helpful staff! The location in the old town with lots of shopping and eating options.

There was no breakfast. We loved the location but Lanta Old Town is a good journey away from all the beaches on the west coast. It was a really quiet location and very atmospheric as the tide came in under the bedroom! We would return there.

What an absolute gem of. Find ! So unique high end for a very good price ! Very attentive staff ! Can’t do enough for you ! They did our laundry beautifully ! The views are breathtaking ! The sea comes right in underneath you as it is built on stilts ! The decor is authentic with a twist of shabby sheek ! The ambient lighting I. The rooms is so calming and the standards so f cleanliness and tending to your needs are 5 star ⭐…. Honestly I can’t put into words the beauty of this place ! The booking agent Jennifer is absolutely amazing ! Helped sort out a birthday cake and was there at the end of a message with recommendations and booked our day trips for us ! We highly recommend this unique find and will be returning ing for sure !!

Mangrove House is an exceptional place with a very hospitable manager, Kai. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with fresh fruit! The premises are so beautiful, and taken care after. One feels like being at home. It is in the center of town (Lanta Old Town is lovely and different than any other place we have been in Thailand) yet very calm. The room was very spacious and very comfortable, had all the amenities needed. It was marvelous to sleep right next to the sea. We spent a lot of time enjoying the view and the sound of the waves on the terrace. It was deifinitely one of the most beautiful places we stayed during the trip - and we are looking forward to come back in the future!

Our arrival and leave was not so "warm". There was hardly someone around. Not so important for us, but stil...

We just had a fantastic stay. In reality it is better than the pictures. The standard is not very high in Thailand in terms of facilities, but this one is by far the best during our current trip. And not to forget the beautiful old town...I am not sure why people think it is boring, it is just beautiful! In the morning and evening, when the tourists are gone you feel the authentic Thailand. We regret now that we only booked for 2 nights, we miss it already.

Very interesting and different accomodation. I liked most the peace and sounds of the sea. House is standing over the sea. Out of touristic areas of Koh Lanta. Many good restaurants nearby.
