Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South AfricaReally nice social hostel. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. The room we had was spacious and clean. The shower had really good pressure and hot water. The location is near to walking street, but far away enough to have some peace.

ThailandI can't think of anything that I didn't like...
My stay here was great! I highly recommend it. On Sundays there is a free family dinner that is delicious! We had barbeque pork, spring rolls, vegetables, fried rice, and fruit. The rest of the time, they had food and drinks to order. There was a happy hour for drinks (4-7pm). There are lots of areas for activities, including: a pool table, a ping pong table, a basketball hoop and half court, a rooftop sala with hammocks, a field out back, yoga mats for guests to use, plenty of tables around with table-top games to play including chess, jenga, and so on, and probably more that I am forgetting. There is wifi, free drinking water, free instant coffee, a microwave, and each bed in the dorm has a locker. You need to bring your own lock for the locker. Oh, and the shower had excellent hot water and good water pressure. In the dorm, the beds each have a curtain. The atmosphere was friendly, easy-going, and fun. Pleasant all around. Everyone, including the other guests who stayed there, were all nice, as well as respectful of each other. It was not a party hostel, more of a chill hostel. The staff were amazing. I ended up extending for a week, so I saw a lot. The women who work there are really kind and they do a great job. For example, I put my laundry out to dry and it started raining. The sweet ladies who work there took my clothes out of the rain for me so my clothes didn't get rained on. When one of the other guests had a sunburn they brought him aloe vera and helped him with it. They randomly came around and gave fresh fruit out for guests to eat. One guy skinned his knee before arriving to the hostel, and when he came in they brought a first aid kit and dressed the wound. I saw them go above and beyond for the guests many times. For me, it checked all the boxes and then some. I loved all the activities available like the pool table, all the amenities (including the bar on-site), and the excellent service from all of the helpful staff.

United KingdomThe fact I didn’t want to leave
All the staff and owner were amazing and had a lot of time to help with questions. The free family Sunday dinner is such an amazing and nice idea, this is where I was able to make good friends. There was always someone around whether it chilling playing pool or chilling upstairs in the hammocks, easily friendliest hostel I’ve ever stayed in.

United KingdomLack of natural light in the room: couldn’t open shutters as there are no actual glass windows and/or mosquito nets. Room could do with bit more furnishing: one more bedside table and a bench to put luggage and staff on.
Fab space, surrounded by green, but still super central. Great common areas with bar, cabana, pool table, tennis table. Can borrow yoga mats and park mats. Free water and coffee. Super nice staff. Spacious double room.

CanadaTo get the basics out of the way - amazing location that's just a 10 minute walk away from Walking Street, amazing amenities (basketball court, ping pong, pool table, areas to lounge in, etc), in house bar with a wide selection, super clean and well kept rooms, etc. But what truly made it one of my all-time favourite stays was the staff - Omar, Will, Rosey, Nicey, Anabelle, and everyone else are the loveliest souls ever! They will go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable, and try to accommodate all of your requests to the best of their abilities. So helpful when it came to planning/booking things as well. Not to mention that they're an insanely fun bunch! As someone traveling solo over the holidays, this was especially welcoming. Such a memorable time!

United KingdomBed in the private rooms may be too hard for some.
The Staff, the Staff, the Staff - and River (the best dog). We would definitely stay here again. This lovely hostel, with a few private rooms, is very well run, set back from the road and surrounded by nature. Efficient, friendly staff who handle all situations with aplomb make Misfits a great choice. Ping pong, basketball, billiards, raised terrace (great views, hammocks, bean bags), laundry, rental motorbikes, kettle, cold drinking water all add to the appeal. On Sunday evenings there’s even a free meal on offer and Tipsy tubing escapades set off from here regularly.

IndonesiaFeeling i am in cubical, the room is so big, there is a lot of space but no chairs or couches to make it look more homie even something to hang your clothes. It is new hostels and needs more redecorated.
Location is not that far from the crowd, close to big road but also close to nature. Clean and save. Bed is with nice curtain work well. Lights and electricity inside the cabin/ cubical works perfectly. I have privacy
