Everything! From having the best host, to the comfort and homely feel of the rooms and place, the decor, the live music on Thursdays, the people, and a wonderful place to stay and give you a feel of familiarity during your travels! Paapu is honestly the most incredibke host, highly accommodating and will help you in any and every way you need. Truly the best place I’ve stayed in in Thailand, and across SEA! If I could have stayed longer, I would have haha. Will be back when I’m next in chiang mai. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone who is looking for a place to call a home during their travels and also embark on adventures exploring the hidden gems of chiang mai .

Beds were comfortable and quiet, service was very friendly and incredibly helpful, breakfast was delicious, and the atmosphere was beautifully curated!

The bathrooms were a bit small, but the included amenities more than made up for it

I absolutely loved staying here! Paapu is an incredibly warm host- she immediately got me tea when I arrived and sat down with me to orient me to the city and answer my questions. The house is beautifully decorated. It has character- little random objects and personal art on the walls. It feels like home. The cafe and balcony are excellent gathering spaces if you want to socialize, but having your own room gives you privacy. The live music on Thursday was seriously amazing! Clean, caring, + a great location- I recommend it wholeheartedly💜

Haha such a small thing, but would love for there to be full sized mirror that’s not in the bathroom. That’s it!

This charming guesthouse was one of the highlights of our Chiang Mai stay! The downstairs has a lovely atmosphere and is a very cute place to have a coffee or have dinner. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating. Room was very clean with good AC and a fan. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Chiang Mai!

The ambience of this guesthouse is great. Paapu is an excellent host, Quaint decor, very pleasant and I would stay there again readily.

We stayed 3 nights at Paapu House and everything was perfect. Paapu is a truly great host—she gave us excellent recommendations and tips, and was attentive throughout our stay. The room was comfortable and fully equipped. The restaurant was amazing also. The location is ideal, close to everything but still peaceful. Scooter rental is available close to the guesthouse, which made exploring the area super easy. Highly recommended!

We loved Paapu house so much we didn’t want to leave! Rooms were cleaned every day, the beds were very comfortable, Paapu is a wonderful host recommending lots of activities around Chiang Mai and going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, it really was one of the best stays we’ve had.

I had a wonderful experience at Paapu. The host was incredibly warm and welcoming. The room was clean, comfortable for a relaxing stay. The location is easy access to nearby attractions and local spots. I especially appreciated the complimentary coffee from the cafe and helpful local tips from Paapu. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy, friendly, and hassle-free place to stay.

What a cool vibe it was! So relaxed and artistic. Oh my days, the woman who owns the place is incredibly friendly also, and she was so helpful, even helping me with things outside of her remit, like where I should stay in koh kood and koh Chang. She was a blessing. It wasn’t busy when I was there because of burning season and she even gave me a late check out. I loved her

Staying with Paapu was the highlight of my month in Thailand. I felt at home from the moment I arrived. Paapu has thought of everything—a master host and an exceptionally kind, thoughtful (and super cool!) person, with a wonderful spirit, superb knowledge and great taste, and excellent recommendations. The location is brilliant, the rooms super cute and clean, and full of nice touches. I’ve stayed all over the world in all kinds of accommodation as a travel journalist and I can honestly say Paapu House is in the very top of tier among all of my travel experiences. If you’re a good person (Paapu deserves no less) with good taste, stay here or miss out. I will be back! See you soon Paapu and thank you so much again to you and all of your lovely team 😊

Paapu is a genuine and lovely host, and Paapu House welcomes you from the first second! Lovely place and vibe! Wasn't disturbed by any noice, felt safe, clean etc. Highly recommend this place!

Paapu house is more than a guest house. It is a welcoming, charming place to spend a few days. Its location is perfect, just next to the old city, in walking distance to all attractions. The rooms are comfortable and the atmosphere is fantastic, with the cafè downstairs serving food all day. There is good live music on Thursdays, so I suggest to stay for that! One of the best things for sure is Paapu, who puts a lot of effort to make guests feel at home, and is always available for a chat and to give suggestions about things to do. Thanks a lot, I’ll be back!

Me and my partner had a lovely time at Paapu House! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and had lots of advice to offer us about Chiang Mai. Our room was very sweet and tidy, beds were comfortable and the teddys were an adorable touch. The bathrooms and other facilities were very clean. Nice relaxed and quiet vibe. Thank you Paapu for this home away from home. (We loved Milo the resident cat too)

Paapu was such a kind and welcoming host and made us feel so at home. The room was comfortable and clean, the bathrooms were cleaned daily and we had our beds made every day. We especially loved the jazz night on the Thursday - definitely recommend you try and stay for this night. The music and atmosphere were great and it’s been a highlight of our trip.

Great experience in a unique place with great atmosphere and vibes. Paapu is such a great host always helpful and so the staff. Also Roger :). Definitely will choose Paapu house as the option in Chang Mai
