How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewA lot of love is put into the property and you won’t find anything like it. Bunnies roam free and there are also tortoises and a very colorful bird which feature along with a pool, playground and trampolines. Breakfast is hot and made to order with a big plate of fresh tropical fruit. The owner is extremely pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend for families for a home away from home feeling. Friendly staff and very accommodating.
We found it excellent. You can tell it’s been around for a while but likely if you’re looking for this type of experience you won’t mind, as the facilities are maintained well. Mattresses also a bit firm but that’s Thailand most places.

Verified reviewThe rooms were well equipped, and breakfast was great
I was missing space or clothent to unpack my luggage, and the nigbour is very lonely of life. There isn't even one store in a walking distance, so you better have a vehicle, but no doubt it is a valuable place.

Verified reviewWe stayed 3 nights there and it was the best choice to do so. Located in a little village, the accommodation is well equiped, the house is beautiful and they are lot of lovely animals such as dog, turtles, rabbits and birds. The swimming pool was really appreciated. The host was really kind to us. We had good chats and delicious breakfasts every morning. We definitely recommend this place, eyes closed !!

Verified reviewVery unique place! The owner takes in abandoned animals so there’s lots to see right at the property like bunnies, conures, turtles, a type of pheasant, plus tadpoles and koi. Our room was spacious and comfortable with some of the fastest WiFi we’ve had in Thailand. We didn’t have our own transportation so we took a Bolt to and from town as needed, a 7/11 is close by and the owner cooks healthy meals so the location worked for us. The owner is friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Verified reviewThe owner was friendly and interesting. She is very caring about her animals. She gave excellent advice about what to do, see and where to eat. She organised a driver for us to do a tour which meant we could tailor things we wanted to see. The breakfast was good with pretty good variety of fruits, pancakes, bread and cereal. The beds were comfortable and rooms very clean. Being a bit further out was no problem. Grabs to town or local sights were 100baht. The rabbits, turtle and bird were all cute.
Pool was a bit cloudy.

Verified reviewThe breakfast was awesome and it was great to meet so many nice people in the common areas. Kids loved the pool, toys, trampolines and animals. Would definitely recommend!
It's a good location for visiting temples, night bazaar, etc. if you have a car but otherwise can get pricey booking transfers or outings.

Verified reviewThe homestay is an enjoyable place to be. There are lots of different animals around the garden, rabbits, tortoises, parrots, etc, and a very friendly dog. The pool is very nice and there are children's toys available. Our room was vas nice , and the bed was comfortable. The room was cleaned every day and fresh water left in our room. The breakfast was very good. Fresh eggs were cooked to order, lots of fresh fruit , an electric waffle machine was there to use. The owner runs a restaurant on site with good home cooked food. This is open until around 20:00 every day.
The property is not really within walking distance from town , restaurants, etc. Grab and tuktuks are available. They cost around 150 to 200 bht. Each way. This wasn't a major problem for us , as the food on site was very good, and the garden setting wonde rful.

Verified reviewWhat can I say? This was our first ever homestay and I am so glad we chose nana doos! Moo is a fabulous host. We just loved it. It is out of town but we prefer that. We hired a scooter and got out and about. We saw so many things in the five days we were in Chiang Rai. Having Moo's place to come back to everyday was just perfect.bwe talked about bringing our granddaughter one day because all the kids we saw there had a fabulous time with all the animals. Very grateful for the hospitality and calmness x. Xxx

Verified reviewThere were similar places, and in the end I chose this for the rabbits as I knew my son would love that. They were sweet, and there's also an adorable pug, some tortoises, and a parrot that drops in. The pool was nice, the room was cool. It has a very open, communal living feel with the rooms there. The host was lovely, local, and incredibly helpful with directions, tours, buses, etc. A great place to chill out.
It's definitely out of the way - a long walk to anywhere (though I like walking) and if you want transport you'll need to book (no traffic to wave down).
