The location of the hostel was great, and it was one of the biggest hostels in the area. They also had something organised for every evening, which was fun. The dorms were clean.

The space inside the dorm (mixed 6 bed) was pretty small, and the bed is designed in such a way that the legs are towards the opening and the head is on the inside. This sometimes make it pretty suffocating as there is no ventilation / enough AC coming to the inside of the bed. As recognised by the hostel itself, it is because of the fellow dorm mates that the rooms / bathroom is sometimes unclean.

I booked a room at this hostel from December 28 to January 1 but had to cut my stay short due to getting sick both me and my friend after staying just one night , honestly less than 12 hours. The water smelled really badly, something that I didn’t see in any other hostel in Koh Tao while it had no visible policies or measures in place to prevent the spread of the virus , which was extremely concerning. I asked them for a plastic bag for my way to the other hostel and they couldn’t even provide me with that. I requested a cancellation and refund, which they agreed to after making me sign some paperwork. However, it’s now January 16, and despite constant follow-ups for over a month, I still haven’t received the entire refund!! I’ve paired an insanes amount of almost 140€ , and I received back 34€ for one night stay ..UNACCEPTABLE

It was perfect for socializing and the reps did a great job at integrating all the guests. Jamie the rep did a really fantastic job at that. They had events going on every night and boat tours so super active.

The property is modern with clean beds and regularly maintained en-suite bathrooms. The social area is always lively with reps to talk to and evening events to socialise.

If you don’t like fun social events this place isn’t for you, music was top tier but goes til 11pm

Comfy bed

Room was an utter mess, music in social area way too loud, even at 2pm music is blasting out so you can’t have a conversation without shouting. Reps struggle to take no for an answer when you say you don’t want alcohol. Stayed at taco shack after which was way better especially for socialising.

Great vibe and super nice location

The hostel is pretty new so things are still being fixed. The AC was not working for a day the first day but the staff were accommodating

The rooms are small but really nice private pods

Wasn’t that social during the day, only on big party nights. If you’ve stayed at Nomads Krabi, this is not as good

The room was very comfortable and nice environment to stay

I would prefer if more events were happening in the hostel also during the day. The reception space is a bit small and difficult to hang out and meet people

We liked the clean rooms which were also air conditioned. The bar was also cool.

There was nowhere to sit and chill, not one sofa. Our room was very small and the top bunk was hard to get up onto!

Absolutely loved my stay at Nomads, i kept and kept extending my stay there because of the good vibes and the comfy room. It might be a new hostel in Koh Tao, but they definitely are not new for running a hostel. Oh, they also got the best location in Koh Tao.
