Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNowhere to lock any belongings as the locker was broken. Capsule doesn’t lock. After staying there I think it could maybe be slightly cheaper.
Clean. Tidy, smelt good and enjoyed having a little space to myself. Bathroom facilities were good.

FinlandThe bed is quite hard as it usually is in Thailand - just be prepared. Nothing else to mention :)
The capsule and whole room was really calm and it almost felt like having an own room. The air was fresh and it was cozy to hang out in the capsule. Dusch and toilet area was decent and clean. Location is top notch!

VietnamIt's too dark in the shower closets/compartments (or whatever you call them) (and one toilet) of the men's shared bathroom. There should be some kind of light in there. And it would be great if they could install a hand dryer in this bathroom. I saw a guy use one of the hairdryers in there to dry his hands (or is it another way to use the hairdryers there? :D).
Very good locaton, within walking distance to the old town. Pon, the receptionist, was very nice and helpful. The bunk bed is clean and comfy and has a very modern design with almost everything you need and Netflix, the biggest plus.

BrazilOne thing I didn’t quite like was that the main lights in each room were always on. While it didn’t bother me personally, I think having the lights constantly on gave some guests the sense that they could do whatever they wanted in the room, even at odd hours. I experienced phone calls at 3am, people packing their bags at 1 am, and others just chatting. I believe the reception should remind guests about maintaining quiet hours during the night, especially since some may not realize the impact of their noise on others. Another downside was the mattress. It’s a traditional Thai-style mattress, which may be fine for some, but if you’re a larger person, it honestly feels like you're sleeping on a piece of paper—definitely not the most comfortable option for long stays.
I recently stayed at Avalie PERA SPACE Capsule Hotel and overall, it was a good experience, especially for my first time staying in a capsule-style hostel. The hotel is situated in the heart of the old town, which is fantastic—there are plenty of great restaurants, cafes, and shops nearby, so it’s easy to explore the area during your stay. The concept of the capsule hotel was interesting, but I did notice that the vibe was a bit different from what I expected from a typical hostel. Many of the guests seemed to be new to the hostel experience, and that can make things a little tricky when it comes to noise or shared space etiquette. It wasn’t the most social atmosphere, but that’s more of a personal preference. Inside the capsule, I appreciated the adjustable lighting, air conditioning, and TV controls. It’s a nice touch to have some level of control over your environment, though there were a couple of issues. The panel lights couldn’t be turned off, my outlet wasn’t working properly and, the internal fan in my capsule was quite loud. The bathrooms were clean and tidy, though the showers were a bit on the dark side. It didn’t bother me too much, but a little more light would have been nice. One of the things that stood out positively was the staff—they were always cleaning the common areas, keeping everything neat and tidy. Overall, my stay was pleasant, but there are a few things that could be improved in terms of capsule comfort and functionality. Still, if you're looking for an affordable and well-located spot in the old town, this could be a good option.

The comfiest thickest duvet with the cosiest private pod and a tv. Genuinely I could’ve stayed there so much longer. I really want to find another hostel on my travels now that is the same/ similar to this because it was just so lovely felt like a private room

IrelandI found the air conditioning fan in the room by my bed to be very loud and some of the lights inside the pod do not switch off so it is never completely dark.
Location is perfect for exploring Old Town. Having Netflix on the tv in the pod was great. Lockers are a good size. There is a book swap shelf and a rooftop deck where you could read in the sun.

Czech RepublicChecking in at this capsule hotel was a breeze, and the futuristic design added a unique touch to the experience. While there were minor issues with some capsule elements, it didn't detract significantly from the overall stay, and the surprising calmness, with few other travelers around, made it a peaceful retreat.
