The location is problematic without a car or a scooter. While you can find a few restaurants and groceries (7-11) within 15 min walking distance, 7-11 didn't have any vegetables or fruits, so in order to get those - 15 min drive to the nearest market is your only option. Same applies to street food - only available in Cha-Am. Beaches within walkable distance are also nothing noteworthy.

The facilities were absolutely top notch - excellent pool, modern gym with all the essentials, apartment and utilities all fresh.

Note that the location is quite remote, and there are no grocery stores nearby except for the 7/11 in ~15 minutes walking distance. You'll probably need a bike to go around, especially if you need a choice of cafes or restaurants. I was taking the yachting lessons in the area, so I was prepared for it, but it can sometimes be inconvenient.

The apartment was pretty spacious and well-equipped, there even was an ability to separate the bedroom area from the kitchen / sofa area by a glass screen. We enjoyed the gym (it's not the best equipped gym in the world, but has a nice atmosphere) and the common area. Also, there is a nice cafe on the beach nearby, as well as a couple of fancy restaurants in the neighbouring hotels. But I'd really like to highlight that the host was great, since he was ready to help us with our request (sending a thing we left at the apartment via post) even after we checked out. He was responsive and polite during our stay as well.

The beach is only accessible through a café and not accessible during flood.

Great pool area, spacious room with optional separation between living and sleeping space. Quiet atmosphere. Really liked the gym too.

Only problem we had was blocked AC unit in bedroom so not able to run it due to dripping water. Owner was very responsive and scheduled it to be cleaned next day.

Apartment was very well equipped, clean and comfortable. Resort was very well maintained and loved the gardens and wrap around pool. So much space but still private places to swim and relax. Staff very friendly and a great location. Will definitely be rebooking this apartment in the future.

We had a car so could get to the beach. You couldn’t get to it from the hotel . Also there were 4 adults . One had to sleep on the couch we thought it was a pull out

This is not about Rain Cha-am at all, but sadly the government built an airport to the south which blocks Cha-am from Hua Hin by local road, forcing you to use a 6-lane freeway with very dangerous u-turns. I did it once and would not do it again. Rather difficult to get a taxi and at least 250baht anywhere you go. To the north, Cha-am is also blocked by properties and so you also need to take the freeway to visit that town as well. So you're rather isolated there which is fine for some people but might not be suitable for others. It's currently impossible to get a Grab to or from Rain, you can only use local taxi which you will have to walk around to find and you'll need to negotiate or you'll pay a fair bit more.

The serviced apartment was nice, clean, large, comfortable, little balcony overlooking the pool. They give you water the day you arrive and you can get your own after that from the 7-11. No daily room cleaning but I don't need that. The pool was great, workout center was great, security staff great. There are good restaurants, scooter rental, and 7-11 less than 10 minute walk away. The beach is nearby.

On the down side for us the mattress on the bed was very firm and the sofa was hard. Unfortunately we had no hot water during our stay, the water heater was broken, but it was just warm enough to shower.

e stayed in apartment 859/428 for a week. The complex is lovely and the apartment is very modern, and for us it was very quiet with very few people about. The kitchen had everything we needed. The WiFi was excellent. Joolpipop was very helpful throughout our stay. The town and the people are wonderful and the food at the restaurants is superb. A car or other transport is handy to go to Cha Am and Hua Hin. We did not try the public transport.

We booked for 4 persons. We got a 2 persons bed, a dirty matrass and a couch that was worn out. There was only one extra sheet for the matress. The sea was too high so we had to go to cha am or hua hin for the beach. And it is hard to get a taxi from this place.

Bed was horrible, old and tired, constantly cracking and creaking any time we moved. No cleaning during our stay not even a broom or mop, so that we could do ourselves. One small leftover roll of 1 ply toilet paper available, we expect to have to purchase some after our arrival, just didn't expect to have to do this, prior to our arrival! No second key available, so much for a solo morning jog and a swim in the pool afterwards to cool off.

I scored only 4 out of 10 for a few reasons. The apartment was advertised as being suitable for 4 adults, with a double bed, a sofa bed and a futon, but there was no sofa bed, just a single-sized futon for the 3rd person and a 1cm thin mattress on the floor for the 4th person. The mattress on the floor was made up with bedding but for the futon there was just one sheet in the closet, no top sheet or blanket/duvet. When the host was asked she just kept replying to look in the closet. This seemed unnacceptable to us since we had booked for 4 adults. Also, the wall and door between the bedroom and living area is glass, so there is no privacy for couples. This would be a lovely apartment for 2 people, but definitely not suitable for 4 adults. People looking to stay need to also be aware that although the ad mentions a private beach for the complex, there is no nearby access to the beach at all, as a large wall is being built due to erosion. There are also no cheap food options in easy walking distance. This is not the place to stay for a beach holiday.

The pool was clean and huge. The main bed was comfortable.
