We love the setting - the gardens are beautiful and a welcome change from the beach. The bungalows are comfortable and clean - we very much felt at home coming back from a day out. But the property is made extra special because of Ying - she is most helpful and kind. We will be returning to Koh Samui and we will hopefully get to stay at Reuan Phaolai.

We would have preferred a more reliable shower, but we survived.

In our opinion, this is a perfectly situated self catering villa with a beautiful Swimming Pool within walking distance of fisherman’s village. The gardens are well manicured, the Villa consists a lounge room with plan kitchen and dining area a separate bathroom and separate bedroom. There is air-conditioning in both the lounge and the bedroom, the electricity charge has to be paid at the end of the stay, we used what we needed and paid 100 Bht after 12 days, very reasonable. We didn’t appreciate at the time of booking that the Villa would not be cleaned on a daily basis, however for us, this was not a problem, it made it feel more like a home from home. We received new towels and bedding from Ying at the end of our first week. It was great to have use of a full size fridge with freezer, it meant we could buy our own provisions and provide for ourselves where we wanted to. We found the bed firm and comfortable, there was ample storage in the bedroom. The bathroom had an adequate shower, but we did struggle with having warm showers, I would say we failed on approximately 30% of occasions. The kitchen area was fully equipped which enabled us to provide ourselves with breakfast and meal if we desired, however the local restaurants food is so delicious and so well priced it makes sense to dine out and support the local community. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time at the pool, which was kept in a pristine condition. Our host Ying was very personable helpful, she spoke great English and was only too happy to help us with any of our enquiries. We are seriously considering returning here next year.

The electric wasnt included with the price, it was cheap enough but just so you are aware.

The host, Ying is great, dont book anything without consulting her first, she will try her best to help. We asked to borrow a kitchen appliance and she was round within 5 minutes. Lovely energetic lady. The house is large enough for 4 people and has cooking facilities. It also has an outdoor area where you can eat dinner and chat, lovely place

10/10 stay - I felt home away from home! Loved the garden, the Villa had all we needed and I even made breakfast often as I love cooking! The hosts were so very helpful in anything we asked! The Villa is cozy, clean and very convenient for the family of 4. Available parking area, very calm environment. BUT the most impressive and very welcoming are the owners David and Ying! They are very nice and supportive during the whole vacation! Highly and definitely recommend!

the villa is quite old,didn't have hot water first night the location is a bit behind you have to take the rubbish to a different location 5-10 min walking at the end you have to pay energy bill (first time in my life when I do that in holiday)
