Location was near a private beach, you can have the beach by yourself! Also, breakfast is also so good. Perfect for travellers like us. Homeowners are also welcoming unlike the previous reviews I've read here.

The seaside all along is oppupied by restaurants and other hotels and beach access is really complicated,then I decided to change location and left the hotel.

Room itself was okay but they have a lot of sandflys around, especially at the nearby beach, which is not the nicest tbh. The Location is pretty far away from the Center so a Motorbike is highly recommended. U can rent one at the place aswell and its cheaper than the rentshops. The hosts were not unfriendly but i didnt feel welcomed

Everything about our accommodations was great! We didn’t like the beach area so we rented a scooter and went to Ao Phai.

We are budget travellers and for us this place was a hidden gem. Quiet location. The room was a good size, the bed was a bit hard, but not uncomfortable, and breakfast was plain, but adequate (2 eggs, toast, ham, small “hot dogs”, and jam). We had a small outside seating area, and a drying rack for bathing suits. Don’t expect room cleaning everyday, but they will clean if you ask.

345 baht to do my clothes washing when you said it would be 270.... I didn't have much by the way, like charging 130baht per kilo... and never cleaned the room or made the beds while we were there... idk if they do daily....

I didn't really like the rather small beach near the bungalow, but I went to the main beach instead.

The room was really comfortable and cosy, I had everything I needed. Check-in without any problems. The rather hard mattress was perfekt for me. I liked the food at the restaurant. During the day I could hear some motorcycles as my bungalow was the closest to the road, but at night it was perfectly quiet.

The shower has heated water but you must turn it down to the slowest flow to get warm enough water not to be cold water. The stairs to my room were not very good for anyone that has difficulty climbing. They are pretty narrow and pretty high steps. The worst part though is that the mattress is so hard you might as well sleep on the floor. If you like a very hard mattress, then you will love this place. The floor also needed a good wet mopping. Not extremely dirty floor, but could have been better.

This hotel is at the north end of the island and not at the busiest location. So perfect for me. Not expensive, but also not a five star place. Very quiet and calm. Decent restaurants across the street and easy access to the beach. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is heated water in the shower, but more about that in the what didn't you like section.

No bottles of water, except the first day, no cleaning for 4 nights. Not a big problem for us, but good to know.

The Thanee is a cheap place and fair for price. The room is spacios and clean. The bed is hard, but we likes that. The breakfast is simple and the hotel has a restorant. We have eaten a couple of time, good thai food for normal price. The beach is very near, but there we have catched sand flyes, be carefull.

Only get water and clean towels on first day of stay. The male owner was very rude!! He showed us to our room without acknowledging us or interaction and although we understand or did not expect him to speak English, a smile goes a long way through any language barriers. My husband went to speak to him using google translate as the television would not turn on and he shouted “no English, no English “ Other staff seemed lovely though. We left our stay disappointed with how we were welcomed/not welcomed.

Accommodation as expected for the budget price. Had spent some of our time in the busy town area so enjoyed the quietness of this side of the island for a couple of days. Breakfast included which was substantial and a bonus!

Everything. But must say the staff are pleasant and friendly. Him and his wife are disgustingly ignorant.

Nothing I’ve never experienced such ignorance in my life,my partner is blind so thankfully she didn’t see the environment we were in. Booked B+B didn’t actually get it without paying extra for it. Mainly due to the man of this horrible dwellings. Everything closes at nine pm nothing is available. On the sixth morning the cook actually came over with two breakfasts,only for his miserable wife to take away and give to a table behind us. We drank our tea got our bags and left the place before the last night. Avoid this hotel at all costs. How I’ve kept my hands off this man surpasses all expectations.
