Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

We last stayed here in 2019 before Covid and liked it so much we decided to come back. It was very good then, it is great now. We noticed that in the rooms that they have new bathrooms, new air conditioners, new very comfortable beds and great new blockout curtains. Unique property as it is on the smaller side for the main seafront resorts. It has about 40 Thai villas with a pool and dining area. It is absolute beachfront, just 5 or 6 steps down from pool / dining area to the beach. Moving on to the staff, the most friendly professional team and nothing was too hard for them. They are always cleaning when not busy and the whole pool area is always just so. Rooms well cleaned and fresh beach towels every day in the room. I am coeliac and the kitchen was able to produce most of their Thai menu items gluten free and knew what they were doing if I tried to order something a bit ambitious. They also ordered in gluten free bread for me for breakfast. We had been to Koh Samui before so spent most of our time just relaxing at Paradise and will definitely be back.

United KingdomThe pool isn't very big but with the sea that close it didn't matter. The beach was essentially a private beach for the hotel in all but name!
Idyllic hotel located at the end of the beach away from the main drag of Chaweng. Very clean with a nice pool and amazing beach. The rooms are all small huts and the greenery around the hotel makes it feel like you're staying in a jungle. Breakfast was great, loads of options and they really know how to omelette. Getting to places by tuc tuc was incredibly easy, or Grab was an option for taxis too. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in and Phensiri restaurant across the road is fantastic too!

RomaniaSome of the rooms are located near the road and are very noisy. In addition to the road noise, which does not stop all night long, near these rooms there is a generator that starts every some minutes. Difficult to relax and sleep if you are accommodated in one of these rooms.

United StatesThat we were only there a few days, the price was a little steep for off season, but the food and drinks were reasonable.
It actually is paradise. We rolled in during a sticky June heat, the kind that makes your shirt question its loyalty. From the second our sand-crusted feet touched the property, we were greeted like returning royalty, if royalty wore swim trunks. After checking in we were told it was happy hour. Already win And then there was Ryan. Sweet, glorious Ryan. If the hotel were a film, Ryan would be the unsung hero who saves the day, fixes the AC, makes the cocktail, arranges your dinner, and somehow remembers your name, your drink, and your exact level of sunburn. The guy was everywhere. Need a towel? He’s there. Confused about your bill? Already fixed. Mid-existential crisis about leaving tomorrow? He hands you a drink and reminds you that breakfast is still included. The pool? Sparkling. The ocean? So calm it made meditation apps feel redundant. The beach? Raked clean, not a single selfie stick in sight. A miracle. Breakfast? Tasty enough that you forget you’re technically eating eggs made in 90-degree heat. Coffee strong enough to wake your third eye. No soggy croissants, no powdered orange juice pretending it’s fresh. And the room. Clean. Spacious. A bed that felt like it had been blessed by monks. The kind of setup where you pretend to check for Wi-Fi but really just want to sit on the balcony and your life choices while staring at the sea. Look, it’s not the cheapest place on the island. But if you’re into things like "comfort," "sanity," and “service that reminds you humans aren’t so bad after all,” then it’s worth every baht. In a world full of overpriced resorts with fake smiles and stale pancakes, Samui Paradise is the real deal. Would I go back? Absolutely. Would I kidnap Ryan and bring him with me? Possibly. Book it. Bring sunscreen. Tip well. And tell Ryan he’s a damn legend.
