Food finished too early in the evening. If you are staying here you need to arrange transport in advance as local services are limited.

Bus dropped us in the middle of no where with no local transport. Hotel staff rescued us from local town. Little finishing touches to the rooms.

Swimming pool was full of algae growth and out of use during whole stay. Water pressure small in shower.

Secluded quiet location. Small Resort. Clean rooms and good bed. Big room and big balcony with plenty of outdoor seating. Quick check in. Good breakfast options. Lovely private pier to watch sunrise and fishing boats coming in. Overall enjoyable experience.

The property is quite remote and you actually need a car or a scooter to get somewhere. The staff however provided for a ride to do some shopping. Yet i would have appreciated a little store and the possibility to rent a scooter at the property.

I liked pretty much everything about the property. Its well maintained and the location is lovely. The pool was great and we had it to ourselves most of the time. The staff was always friendly and made our stay very comfortable.

Not much space for hanging clothes especially if you are a family sharing a room and if you stay more than a night.

Room was by the beach; fantastic view. Place has its own private beach. Breakfast was offered on an order basis (can order as much as one can consume) instead of putting all on a buffet table. By doing so, less likelihood of food waste.

very nice appartments with wonderfull seaview, but no water from 11 am. Nice swimming pool. A little bit far away from chao lao beach. The hotel is lonely. If you don‘ t have a car you are lost. Nothing else around there. The staff was very very friendly. The rooms are very clean but they have no cupboard. They clean the room every day :))) Its nice for a stay of maximum 2 days. We visited the hotel at beginning of March in 2024 and there was no water at the beach from 11:00am until 8 pm. because of low tide. The water was dissappeared at 11:00 am, no water to swimm. What a pity. Very good meals for dinner.

While Seashell Beach Resort offers a beautiful location, its overpriced and lacks amenities

While Seashell Beach Resort offers a beautiful location and some lovely features, there were several drawbacks that, unfortunately, overshadowed the positives during our stay. First, the room itself lacked basic amenities like a place to hang clothes, which was quite surprising for a resort of this price range. Our clothes had to stay in the suitcase throughout our stay, which felt rather inconvenient and unusual. The jacuzzi was another letdown. While it was a nice feature, it had only one working jet out of two. We were also informed that to use the jacuzzi, we had to notify reception in advance so they could manually switch it on for just one hour. This was an unnecessary hassle, especially when we discovered there was no phone in the room. This meant we had to walk to reception to make the request, and during the day, the front desk was not always staffed. It seemed like a lot of effort for something that should have been more straightforward. Additionally, be sure to bring plenty of mosquito repellent if you plan to use the jacuzzi. It seems to attract mosquitoes, and we both ended up with bites, leaving us with lasting scars. Another major issue was the water pressure in the shower. It was extremely low, essentially just a trickle, which made for an unsatisfactory experience. To make matters worse, our bathroom had a terrible smell of raw sewage, to the point where it was hard to even use the bathroom without feeling uncomfortable. The stench was so overpowering that I could actually taste it in the air, which was unpleasant to say the least. Perhaps the most disappointing aspect was the beach. The resort claims to offer a private beach, but the water was filthy, filled with trash, and the resort did little to address the problem. The tide continuously washed up garbage, and it was rarely cleaned, which made the beach unpleasant to even look at, let alone enjoy. This was especially frustrating, considering the resort's otherwise stunning location.

Seashell Beach Resort in Chanthaburi, Thailand, offers an exceptionally peaceful and private retreat that allows for ultimate relaxation. The intimate, small size of the resort enhances the tranquil atmosphere, making it an ideal getaway for those seeking serenity. Our room featured a jacuzzi with a breathtaking view overlooking the beach, which was an absolute highlight. It was the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the soothing sound of the waves. Additionally, the resort has a charming pontoon walk that meanders through the mangroves, offering a scenic and peaceful spot to sit and overlook both the resort and the sea—a lovely touch for those looking to connect with nature. While breakfast was included and offered a limited selection, the food was flavorful and satisfying, a great way to start the day. The room itself was spacious and beautifully appointed, with a four-poster bed that was incredibly comfortable. The best part was the view, as we woke up to a stunning sight of the sea, often watching local fishermen take their boats out for the day's catch—a serene and authentic experience. Though the local village nearby felt a bit deserted, with many resorts offering similar accommodations at lower prices (and not listed on booking.com), the value and experience at Seashell Beach Resort made it well worth the stay. The atmosphere, combined with the peaceful surroundings and attentive details, created a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a tranquil, picturesque retreat!
