Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

first I got old bungalow which is in terrible condition, so I upgraded to a new one
close to night market. new bungalows are in good conditions

the cockroaches is appearing in the room, but it's an old house. So it's not surprise
The location is closed to the walking night street and the bus station. It's easy to find a travel agency and restaurant on the street. It's quite in the evening. Compare with hostel, you can have a private room with shower and air con!!

It’s an old house.. cockroach has been popping out in the room…
Te location is super good. Close to the night walking street. Compare to other hostel, you can have a private room with shower room and air con. The bed and blanket is quite comfortable.

Only thing would be the mattress wasn’t great probably would replace the old girl.

The staff at Slumberland at Pai were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and spacious. They were able to offer a parking spot in front of my room. Very close to the night market and walking streets with restaurants and 7/11 for supplies.

There was a lot of building around, so in day time and early in the morning we had noise pollution

Felt quite dated and bathroom could do with updating. The mattress was so hard and uncomfortable
Lovely lady who checked us in, very friendly. Location was good and central and it was very quiet at night which was nice.

Sink is on the balcony!!! Very poor maintenance of that said balcony and surrounding, like when you wake up you don’t want to stay in the hostel….

The bed was uncomfortable, the aircon didn’t get the room anywhere near to being a reasonable temperature this is due to the fact that not one of the three doors in the room have a seal on them, therefore also allowing mosquitos in the room. You walk in to the room with a bed and fridge, and two doors on the opposite wall, one contains the shower and toilet. The other contains a balcony and the sink. Once you’ve been to the toilet you need to touch 4 door handles, opening and closing behind you to stop mosquitos getting in, before you can wash your hands you then proceed to touch two of the aforementioned 4 door handles to get back in the room. We left two days early and booked into B2 far better only issue is you need to walk 10 minutes to get into the same area as slumberland
The location of this property is brilliant you are so central all around Pai close to two 7/11 and the waking street very easy to get around

Pai is away from the urban hustle but still has a selection of good restaurants. The hotel is just like the pictures. Laid back. Nice owner.

It started raining on my head when I was in bed and they came to help me and switched me to another room for one night. When I came back the next day they offered me half one nights refund so (£5) and then when I returned to the room, the ceiling had been fixed but all of the debris was left everywhere over the bed and it didn’t really feel like the way the way it was dealt with was enough considering the situation.
The room was lovely and spacious . Nice location, peaceful!
