Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThe rooms need an upgrade. But they are working on the rooms upgrade. Again, its all very clean and beds are very good. Just that some elemenst of the rooms are a bit out of date and need replacement. (Did I mention they are working on that?)
The staff was lovely (Yes Daniel, you too), the restaurant was good. We were travelling privately and this is the "bus stop" for tour operators as well. So it's either crowded or almost empty. They are doing a thorough revamp of the buildings and rooms, which is needed. but overall a very good place in Sukothai.

United Arab Emirates-
Very nice property set in beautiful, well maintained grounds - lots of flowers / waterlilies / Lotus. Comfortable, very clean room. Great, friendly service. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. The property offers a shuttle to the historic park and bicycles. We had a car so didn't need either.

CanadaHated the bathroom- very dangerous step down from bedroom into bathroom & again into shower. Lighting in bathroom was very dark. Safe in the room did not work, even when we called maintenance & they couldn’t get it to work. When I turned bathroom tap on, brown water came out of it.This hotel is really showing its age unfortunately. The staff at the front desk was very helpful in giving us suggestions for restaurants recommended.
Good breakfast. Lots of parking.

EgyptThe spa. I emailed in advance about scheduling a massage and was told to schedule when I arrived. When I arrived I then scheduled my appointment for six hours later. The spa is made up of a waiting room and four therapy rooms, three beds each (this is important for later). There wasn’t a check in space, the waiting room was being used by people getting out from the heat. So we walked around the area until someone popped out of a maintenance room and led us to our room. A friend and I got different massages and were taken to different rooms. After five minutes the same person came back and told me my masseuse was running late, only five minutes. Twenty minutes later she showed up and then massaged me. She didn’t listen when I asked for difference in pressure or to avoid areas. The pillow used on the bed was an airplane neck pillow and not attached in anyway, so my body kept sliding around on the bed. Room was too air conditioned— a statement I never thought I’d say. Masseuse answered her phone multiple times, made calls and texts. I understand emergencies but this was just chatting so I would’ve appreciated her not to ruin the vibe. My friend was put in a room with someone else where he got a Thai massage, but very different than the usual style. No notice that there was another person going to share a space with him. His masseuse was also texting and making calls during his session. Disappointing massage from a place with spa in the name. Prices were not worth the quality. Not a spa. Do not come here for a spa.
Lovely location, quick ride to the main sites. Hotel provides a free shuttle and grab rides are under 100 baht (tuktuks are 150). Rooms are spacious, hotel has charm and beautiful brickwork. Visually lived up to expectations. Rating it highly for aesthetic, coffee and price, but please note the spa was pretty terrible and you should not come here if that’s the weekend you’re going for.

Hong KongThe shower didn't have a door, so water got everywhere! The pressure of the shower heads could be better.
The hotel had a lovely salt water swimming pool! The room we stayed in was very spacious, and clean! The staff were all very lovely! The breakfast had a variety of foods! I love that the hotel does alot of eco-friendly steps to reduce their carbon footprint! We also had a lovely Thai massage, which really hit the spot after a long day of driving!

GermanyDon´t book a standard room! We made the mistake and it was a room with urine rests on the closet and mold on the wall. We complained and got for the same price a room in the higher category. This was good!

United KingdomLimescale and tired decor, more vegetatian dinner options would make this a 10/10
Really friendly helpful staff. The breakfast was great with lots of options. The pool was very relaxed and a nice space with great views:) The shuttle to the historical park was really well organised and perfect for enjoying the festival of Loy Krathong which had events on every day. Room was comfy and local snacks and water restocked (glass bottles) was a really nice touch. Liked the sustainability aspects here.

ThailandNot a negative point, but more of a note. Those who come without a vehicle may find it inconvenient to find a nearby place to eat. Historic park area is a few kilometers away full of places to eat. A bicycle would do too, but I'd recommend to rent a vehicle so it's easier to get around.
The place was cozy and quiet. It was spacious that you could take a walk in the rice field in the morning when the weather was not too hot. The room was clean and comfy. Minibar was free with yummy traditional snacks that I had to buy more for my family members at home. Staff kept filling our minibar everyday. Staff were helpful and friendly with good advice around the area. Breakfast was great too. What I specially loved was the small wine & coffee bar that served Starbucks coffee so we didn't need to go out for coffee or drinks!

United StatesThe room could benefit from having at least two towel racks in the bathroom. There were only six pool lounges, and they needed some care. During our three day stay pool towels were available only on the last day.
The hotel management is clearly excellent. We came to Sukhothai for the Loy Krathong festival. The hotel offered free transportation and pick up from the site of the festival in the Historical Park from 5 pm until 11:30 pm every day of the festival. In addition, they provided free transportation and pickup to the Historical park in the morning. Without this service it would have been extremely difficult for us to participate in the festival. In addition, they provided krathongs for us free of charge. The staff was very helpful and nice, and it was clear that they were happy to help.
