There are luxury rooms with fantastic views and a solo travel part. I traveled alone and was looking for somewhere safe and unique. This place is where I will come back again for sure. The hotel offers a cozy 4-bed female room, and It’s a perfect place for solo travel. Staffs are also friendly.

Beautiful place! Pool/beach area is amazingly beautiful. Nice quiet area just out of lamai, clean big dorm rooms, great massage place across the street. Happy to go back there next week:)

The lobby is just off the road and can be a bit noisy, but very little time is spent in the lobby.

The staff is wonderful, so helpful with any questions or needs. And the facilities are spotless and so comfortable, with laundry, clean bathrooms, and a beautiful swimming pool right on the beach, together with a beach towel when you ask for it.

Was absolutely incredible Stayed as a solo traveller who has stayed at a LOT of hostels and this by far was one of the nicest ones. Very laid back vibe and all the staff were so lovely. It's a mixed use hotel with small rooms, the dorm rooms and villas so you will see a variety of guests from young families and young travellers. The outdoor spaces such as the terrace, pool and beachside area are fantastic. The area is really nice, on the edge of Lamai beach its a very easy walk or scooter into the main areas of Lamai beach and a 20 minute scooter to Chaweng or fisherman's village

You can't tell how they do it. But from the start, the team of the Rock Samui will give you a relaxing and warm welcome to this little tropical paradise. Build as an tribute to the international series 'the flintstones', the Rock offers everything a traveller needs. Chill out places, a private beach to relax at and moreover a staff team that is interested in offering professional service. One my way back home i even revisited the hotel - it was so great. Therefore i can just say thank you, for your wonderfull teamspirit. May it be the endearing Chaw who has the empathy to share heartwarming laughs with good feelings. Yet also offers smart advice for your trip, professionalism when it comes to questions regarding the hotel and sharp comments - if you let her. The all knowing, almost tour guide niveau Gerome from philippines, who knows everything about the island Kho Samui. May it be the way to the ferry, the bus stations, the time of traffic or locations to eat, enjoy or meet friends. But don't forget about the rest of the team. The kitchen handles your order excellent. There are even fresh croissants every morning. Since i've been to france this year, they can stand the comparisson. Also it is very clean everywhere. Been in other hostels and hotels so far. Still, this one stands out. If you work a lot and want to relax, the Rock is your place to go. Of course bigger or even party beaches are just a shortly away. But who wants to go there, when you can have a private beach with your friends? When we were at holiday, one tourist even fell to the ground unconscious. The team called emergency immedeatly and even visited the unlucky solo traveller afterwards in hospital. In short: They genuinly care for you as a guest. Something, you can't find everywhere in the world.

It was a little out of the way of the beach and busy areas if you are walking.

How clean and comfortable it was. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Complimentary snacks and drinks. Free drinking water on tap.

The beach in front of it is small and wasn't that clean

I slept in the dorm and it was amazing. It's clean, big. The pillow and the sheet is so nice. The show warm and good pressure. The kitchen area clean. The pool is clean and with salt water. Free kajak for rent. 35min walk to the lamai nightmarket, the long Lamai Beach 10min walk.

Sound isolation is not sufficient in the bedroom.

a little pricey for having to share a room with six people

space was clean. the host reception person was great. very friendly and helpful. i appreciated him and his personhood. the beach was close. and there was a pool down below by the beach. felt private and nice to have.

The only bad thing I can say is that it was annoying to walk down to a floor lower to go to the shower and bathroom.

The host was super friendly and really good at customer service. I was welcomed like a special guest and that left a really good impression on me. The Hostel had an amazing view on the beach including a terras facing ocean side. If you're a coffee lover you will also love this place because they have amazing coffee. The hostel also included a mini kitchen with microwave and a fridge for each dormitory.

It is quite away from the centre but everything is still accessible. I found the bathrooms and hallways very warm.

Jerome and staff are super helpful with any questions you might have. I’ve been backpacking and this really felt like a hotel rather than a hostel. Pool and beach area are wonderful.

The location is not ideal, however you gotta keep it in mind when you book. It is a quiet area, but there are little people around and that feels better than a touristy place for me. It is right by the main busy street, a lot of traffic 24/7, however it didnt bother me

Everything perfect, the best combination of a hostel and a hotel. Private beach (in my opinion one of the best on Ko Samui), yummy food, hostel rooms very clean, comfortable and sleeping there was really nice. Free drinking water for guests in the shared kitchen as well! Jerome helped with everything and I am so happy I spent my time on Ko Samui here. I truly think this was better than 90% of accomodations I’ve ever visited throughout Asia, and I definitely will be coming back here. 11/10

Can be noisy at night from the main road outside but you get used to it

We just like to mention that there were renovation works at the hotel during our stay but we were not much disturbed. Workers were quiet and did mostly paint works in the bar by the beach.

The service provided by the staff and most of all Jerome were excellent. We got all what we requested and even the additional free breakfasts. All hotel is super clean, the cleaners are passing regularly and do a good job. The swimming pool is using a salted water system, which is ecological and free of chemical substances. The family room with big bunk beds for the children and living room with small kitchenette and TV was very comfortable. The kitchen and playing room (with board games) on the first floor. The coffee is just one floor down. Nice hotel beach and nearby beaches were excellent and clean. Free kayaks and paddle board provided by hotel. Good jogging routes around the hotel. Massage place and local restaurants nearby the hotel.

The accommodation is even nicer in real life than on the pictures. The owner is very friendly and can help you with whatever you need. The rooms are bright and spacious and the terrace is a big plus.
