Love the uniqueness of this place. It was like stepping back in time but surprisingly with modern comfort. When you step into the room, I exclaimed how clean and immaculate the room and bathroom were.

This is the place you have to stay if you visit Amphoe Muang (Muang district or central) of Petchburi. The rooms are in the same property as the beautiful old villa in the middle of Petchburi province. It’s right next to Petchburi river. On Saturday, there’s a street weekend market with lots of food vendors and performances from local people, just steps away from the villa. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The lady who is there to take care of the villa is super nice. She will show you the inside of the villa (only for people who stay there). And don’t miss the morning market in town. It’s very fun to experience it.

No safety deposit box. The room was dated. Could do with a revamp, though keep the old switches, which I found charming. I knew there was no breakfast, but I don't understand in such cases why the owner/ manager doesn't make arrangements re same with a nearby restaurant. Breakfast is a very important meal for me, and others.

Pleasant reception when I checked in. The room was spotlessly clean. Hard bed. The lady who looked after the place (living just outside the gate) was very helpful. Lovely grounds & loads of nooks in the garden to chill out. Access to the gorgeous villa, which is NOT the building in which one sleeps, was allowed as was photography of same. The villa is a delight & the main reason I made the booking.

The building + its location next to the river and close to the weekend market. Comfortable room. Nice and pleasant surrounding. Helpful and friendly staff.

Nothing not to like but non-Thai speakers may struggle to find eating places, initially. Nearby, it's mainly street food, with sit-down facilities in the shops behind. The cafe/bar over the river has a more expansive and expensive menu in English. No breakfast, other than instant coffee. Traditional rice porridge with pork available nearby. Remember thinking the bed seemed a bit hard, but after a long day's drive from the south, I soon went unconscious and slept like a log till morning, to be woken by birdsong.

Just an overnight stay, passing through, but a charming, one-off, period location, drawing you into the old town. Think it must have been a Chinese quarter at one time. Lots of wonderful red and gold temples. Riverside villa, with other interesting houses nearby, poking out of the vegetation. Cool cafe/bar just over the nearest bridge. Just a few rooms for guests, outside the villa, looked after by a very helpful, little old lady, who guided us in by phone (in Thai). Very good bathroom.

The heat in the middle of the day, but that was a good time for a nap.

The position right on the river in a lovely peaceful garden. Very close to markets and restaurants. The family running it webire kind, attentive and helpful.

My only criticism was the pillows, too hard and high for me which gave me a sore neck and it would have been lovely to have a reading light on both sides of the bed. Apart from those everything was great and the place was very special and I felt very happy to have found it.

Everything is very clean. They have a very beautiful Italian style courtyard and the facades. Also they have a nice coffee house in the middle of the courtyard which is very cute. They have a family tree of the house owners which is a very good hotel now. A stunning view to the river and some temples on the other bank of the river. The service was great, they are really welcoming! The only hotel I would recommend to stay in Phetchaburi.

Lovingly restored old mansion with nice garden right next to the river as well as close to the lively market and several restaurants. The very friendly staff gave us a warm welcome and were happy to help us notwithstanding the language barrier.

It was an oasis in the middle of town The staff was very friendly and organised a limousine for the day to take us to some local sights.Although the staff at the accommodation had very little English a phone call away was a very well spoken man who organised our limousine and taxi to the station Would highly recommend to anyone

Our room, and also its bathroom, had many mosquitoes which were pretty annoying. (Beware that dengue fever is still a risk in Thailand).The bed should have a mosquito net. So, bring your own mosquito net, or at least make sure that you have plenty mosquito repellent.

The hotel is basically a beautiful villa with garden. It has an old european style architecture, which gives the place a stylish and relaxed atmosphere. The facilities in our room (the one located near the river) and bath room were O.K.
