How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewI had a good night sleep. It's a hostel. There is a restaurant attached, everything you could need is just outside and the beach is 15min walk. There are cabinets to secure your stuff but bring your own lock.
Hard mattresses. I like them soft.

Verified reviewA good budget option not too far walk from the beach and plenty of other places to eat and entertain. I was in a 4 man dorm. The beds were good and strong, charging points and bunk light. Large lockers provided to fit a large case/backpack in (bring your own padlock) Sleep quality was reasonable. Can get a bit loud in the bar next door on some nights, but isn't too bad. Toilets and showers were clean and maintained. Freudbly staff and service including a small restaurant that's open most of the day out the front. There's a coffee and smoothie desk a couple of steps down too. Key card access into secure unit before a regular key for your own door. Aircon was also good. Would stay again given the choice
Nylon sheets. For ease of the staff I suppose. Also no hand towels to be found anywhere in bathrooms. Nowhere to hang your own towel much in your room. Aside from this it was a reasonably good hostel to stay.

Verified reviewStaff was super nice and the hostel is clean, with functioning AC and lockers (bring your own lock). The dorms are nice, with 4 beds and sufficient space for luggages.
The mattress was a bit hard for my taste, but that is probably a personal preference

Verified reviewGood dorms at a very clean and well looked after property. Good security having two locks to pass before you can enter a room. Wifi was great albeit a little annoying having to constantly enter the log in details
Beds weren’t crazy comfortable as they had poor bed sheets that came off as soon as you lied on them

Verified reviewSimple but efficient dorm, clean.
Very noisy place, workers restoring a bedroom at night time, others guests speaking very loud and banging doors...

Verified reviewPretty close to Ao Nang beach, as well as the walking street with all the night life.
The sheets didn't fit the bed so they came off multiple times during the night, so you had to sleep on synthetic leather that was sticky. We also were unlucky enough to be placed in a room with a Britt who refused to close the window during the night (while the AC was on) so a bunch of mosquitos came in the room, and it never got cold enough... Super low ceiling as well so I hit my head multiple times, that was on the upper bed.

Verified reviewWhat could be improved in the hostel: 1) Free black tea, coffee and sugar in the kitchen would be much appreciated. There was no tea in the café attached to the hostel. There is no tea in the supermarket. I don’t understand why Thai people don’t drink tea at all. 2) It was uncomfortable to use bathroom sink as there was no small mirror at the sink. I had to come to big wall mirror near toilet each time when I needed to shave and get back to the sink to rinse my razor. It would be great if owner could install mirror in front of sink.
Zleeping Pills is a centrally located hostel. I was provided with comfy and clean bed and towel. There was a locker (bring your own lock) and air conditioner in my room. There is a shared kitchen with basic amenities (no stove!) and chill out zone with fan and watercooler to refill empty bottle. It was great that men/women toilets were separated. There are so many restaurants, supermarkets, ATM, money exchange kiosks, souvenir shops, massage salons and mosque around hostel. Beach was 10 minutes of walking distance from the hostel. Taxi and tuk tuk are just outside of hostel. Two furry and sleepy cats were roaming around my dorm room door. There is a 100 Baht deposit for key if I understood correctly. Free wi-fi was working well, but requiring re-connection each time when I was back to the hostel. Hostel is the same as in booking.com pictures. Hostel staff was very helpful and speaks English.

Verified reviewThe owner is really cordial. The room was clean and they have locker in the room. The washroom was also neet and clean and also they provide necessary toiletries there. Outside of the room they have some empty space where you can smoke or pass your leisure time.

Verified reviewLocation is good, near the beach. The place is spacious
the bathroom is all gender wich makes it uncomfortable when taking a shower, the bathroom facilities are very poor and there is only one bathroom near the entrance, far from first floor rooms. It needs more places where to sit down

Verified reviewGood location next to plenty of restaurants, bed was comfy and great air conditioner 😁 The privacy curtain always a plus! Lockers provided for storage. 4 person dorm is good, although tiny. Showers and toilets good. Security is good with electric gate
The manager wasn't very pleasant to deal with but you're not there for her, so just check in and get to your dorm. Perhaps just had a bad day... Room is tiny but ok for a night.

Verified reviewBig lockers and nice thick curtains on the bunks. AC was great and water machine had hot and cold water. Tables in rooms with chairs were nice and also social tables in communal area. Washing outside to left for 40baht kg. Staff always around to help. There are also cute cats hanging around if you like cats!
10/15 min walk from the beach so can work up a sweat walking but worth it for the price. Hidden down next to restaurant. Reception area is a bit messy as used for storage.
