Good location near everything famous places

Hotel Shumon provided all our needs and was a very pleasant place to stay.

Really hot water for a good cup of tea!

Location is perfect - accross the street to city park and close to our office. Very friendly staff.

Bed and pillows could be more comfortable. Breakfast is the same every day.

Great view, late check-in was possible and a nice variety of food. The staff helped us find the right places for the Pamir permits n

Only one thing: the AC made the air super dry and dusty. Opening the window was better sometimes.

Nice buffet breakfast in Georgian cuisine restaurant on the ground floor. Great city view from the 9th floor, plenty of space in bathroom with window. Hotel is very close to the park, good for those who like morning jogging.

Great location, delicious and varied breakfast, comfy spacious rooms with fine mattrasses, tea-makers and stable hot water, nice and helpful staff, wonderful restaurant at the ground floor.

No interconnecting rooms for big famillies

The rooms are generally clean, though sometimes there was a bad smell coming from the bathroom. The Wi-Fi is also unreliable — slow and often disconnected. Pros: the hotel is located in line with the main alley of Independence Square and the windows of the rooms facing north (even numbers 902 – 914) offer a good view of the events on Independence Square.

We stayed at this hotel from April 7th to 13th, 2025, and unfortunately, it wasn’t a great experience. The biggest issue was the air conditioning — it didn’t work during our entire 7-day stay. With daily temperatures between 25–30°C and reaching up to 35°C on the last two days, the room became really uncomfortable. When I asked reception about it, the staff just said they didn’t know when it would be fixed. I normally don’t write negative reviews, but paying for a hotel room and not being able to relax in it because of the heat just isn’t right. My friend’s room was even worse — the windows didn’t open, so there was no way to get fresh air at all. The «Biryusa» refrigerator was very noisy, so I was forced to turn it off completely, fortunately there was nothing in it. Other than that, the hotel is average. Breakfast is the same every day. Great place to stay in a great location. Great service and english spoken. I loved the breakfast and our room was big and well maintained.

The room was spacious and clean. From the ninth floor we had a wonderful view of the park by the flagpole. The breakfast offered everything you need: coffee, cheese, sausage, eggs, jam and more. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. The hotel, which is very centrally located near the National Museum, also has a restaurant with very tasty Georgian dishes, among other things, where you can eat very well. We felt very comfortable and would come back any time.
