How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewI liked the fact that each member of staff went above and beyond when asked for help. The food was exceptional and the waiters were absolutely amazing. Our room was regularly cleaned and maintained. The reception staff were extremely polite towards us I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

Verified reviewHotel is very good and meets your expectations. They provided us a big terrace room. location is good, staff is friendly. We were on a girls trip from Turkey, they interested in it - maybe too much. Reception guy was professional, knew lots of languages. And special thanks to Ahmed on the bar, he gives his everything for his job, works a lot to serve you well. Meals are fine, could be diversify. Pool bar was good, pool can be more clean but idea of having drinks and cigarettes there very good design as well as hotel's landscaping Overall, the hotel deserves 8,5 points i think, evaluating the area and the culture, it seems very nice and again meets our expectations.
Sea could be wavy some days. Coctails on pool bar must be increased. Staff was friendly but maybe too much, they could be more respectful for the guest's expectations if you went there for relaxing. They should have immediately built a beach bar if they want to provide 5 * services. Because, even there were some minus things, the hotel and its management very nice, clean rooms (everyday) they would do better cuz they know how to manage a hotel, this is for just a positive critisim.

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful family stay at Iberostar Averroes in Yasmine Hammamet. I was traveling with children aged 5 to 9 as well as my grandmother (76 years old), and all of them were very happy and comfortable throughout the stay. A special mention goes to the receptionist with dental braces (unfortunately I don’t remember his name) – he was extremely kind, welcoming, and helpful. Also, a big thank you to the animation team, especially Faty, who was amazing with the kids. My children really enjoyed spending time with her and the activities she organized. Overall, this is an excellent hotel for families, and we would happily come back.
The only disappointment was with some of the staff behind the bar who were distributing the food – they were not as friendly as the rest of the team. Apart from that, everything else was very good, and we left with great memories.

I don't like the reception staff during the afternoon check-in . After 2h p.m., they gave us the room around 5 PM and required too many documents. Rude and ironic man that ended up by me saying call me police and we finish this conversation. He took his words back. The pool is dirty and too short, 1m40 maximum depth with kids splashing everywhere. It dosent worth the money at all !

Theft!! Some money was stolen from our belongings in the room. We only discovered this after leaving the hotel. When we reported it, the hotel's so-called “investigation” was superficial and dismissive, yielding no results. Their subsequent communication was unhelpful, and the only form of “compensation” they offered was an insulting package of perks for a future stay – as if we would ever want to return. Dirty and Dated Pools. The pools were full of sand and grass, looked old, and were in need of a deep clean. Staff did not enforce the rules, so children were jumping into the pool. Food and Drinks. The food was repetitive, with breakfast and lunch being nearly identical every day. The drinks were of very low quality; cocktails were watered-down, and the all-inclusive wine was undrinkable. Room Maintenance. Our room had a broken shower holder, low water pressure, and soap and shampoo were never refilled. Lacklustre Entertainment. The evening entertainment was short and low-quality, with one night being just karaoke. Inconsistent Staff. While some staff were friendly, others seemed annoyed or uninterested, and service in some areas only improved after tipping.

Verified reviewI had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything was perfect from start to finish — the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff were incredibly attentive and made sure every detail was taken care of. A special mention goes to Mira, the animator, whose energy, kindness, and creativity made our experience even more enjoyable. She truly went above and beyond to make guests feel happy and entertained.
It would be great to renovate the rooms to make the stay even more comfortable. The only drawback for us was the absence of a WC bidet spray in the bathrooms, which would have added extra convenience.

Warm water in the sea and wonderful sand beach, umbrellas and sun loungers with mattresses. Big beautiful hotel territory. Very friendly staff both in the hotel and in the restaurant.

Verified reviewThis was my first time staying in an Iberostar and tbh I was expecting a bit better after reading all the reviews. Starting with the positives, I booked the all inclusive option and the food overall was great. Lots of variety with a few different things on a daily basis so no complaints there. The room I booked was overall very spacious, clean & came with a beautiful view which you can see from the image. Excellent bathroom ameneties. The location of the resort was also good with only a 2 3 minute walk to some shops, cafes and if needed, a pharmacy. The staff were overall very friendly and professional.
One word, maintenance. For a hotel like this, I would not expect to be using a bathroom where the toilet flush button is broken and has to be a angled a certain way in order for the flush to work! Secondly, the bathtub was also a bit dodgy and the water pressure was a bit on the weak side - I've stayed in WAY cheaper hotels where the bathroom was amazing! The chain for the balcony door was full of rust which made it difficult to close. This hotel definitely needs some renovation.
