How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe best hostel I have stayed in and the staff are very friendly. Anything you need, you will find it with them. The hostel is located in the middle of the famous hotels. The sea is very close to the hostel, as are the entertainment places.

Verified reviewGreat hosts, made me feel home. They gave me a lot of advice on the neighbourhood and places to visit. Really nice experience to meet fellow solo travellers and nice vibe. The founder is super inspiring and I really enjoyed the story of how the Space was created. Hospitality was embodied in this hostel. The property is close to HAMMAMs and spas. I definitely advise trying this experience. Especially Radisson Athenee spa

Verified reviewI especially liked the co-working space, the cleanliness, and the quiet and peaceful location. It's also very close to the beach if that's important to you.
I stayed there for 10 days total (I stayed for 3 more days beyond what appears on this website). In the entire duration of my stay, there was no sense of community and no effort to bring people together. Because of this, CoZi felt commercial and not very authentic. If you're a solo traveler looking to meet new people then I don't recommend this place. For a Coliving space, I expected better.

1.We booked it as a beach hotel. Guests from neighbouring hotels all wear bikini and shorts to go to and from the beach. But when we did the same, I got a warning message from the manager telling me that they are actually not a real hotel but a coliving space with people co-working in it and therefore beachwears are forbidden in their premises. This information was not disclosed in our reservation description and I considered it as a violation of consumer's right of information. As a result, we have to bring the beachwear with us and change outside their premises. 2. We experienced a total water outage from 10 pm to 5 am the next day. The manager gave me an excuse blaming it to "regional low water pressure". But guests from neighbouring hotels told us that they didn't have the problem. And the explanation from the manager was that they are not equipped with roof reservoir and high pressure pump also because they are not a really a hotel. He further blamed me for not having "guessing out" they are not a real hotel. We had severe debates on WhatsApp and I consider it is their responsibility to disclose whether they are a hotel or not. And the clause of bathroom means a bathroom in function with water supply so they should bear the responsibility to disclose any foreseeable risk of water cut-off. 3. The plates, bows, glasses and cups in the kitchen were very dirty with fats and oil leftovers with mysterious yellow liquid traces. We had to pick up the still washable ones to use. And those covered by yellow traces couldn't even be cleaned because the traces already became hard and stuck to the surface. For this incident, the manager didn't try to give new excuses but apologized. 4. In our reservation, they claimed to accept credit card payments and provide free washing machine. But upon checking in, the manager insisted on cash payments and tried to charge us extra fees for washing machine.
Dear Zhe, We regret that your experience did not meet your expectations. However, it is important to clarify some points for future guests. CoZi is a Coliving & Coworking space, as clearly presented in our listing — not a beach resort or hotel. Our community is built around respect, professionalism, and collaboration. In this context, beachwear is not appropriate in our indoor common areas, a rule that is communicated on-site and fully aligned with the nature of our space. Regarding the temporary water outage, this was a regional issue beyond our control, and we communicated openly about it. Our team provided clear explanations and assistance. Concerning kitchen cleanliness, we take hygiene very seriously. After checking, we acknowledge that two plates out of 24 may have escaped post-washing quality control — an isolated incident that was addressed immediately upon being reported. We have since reinforced our procedures. Lastly, respectful communication with our staff and other guests is a fundamental value at CoZi. Unfortunately, the tone and behavior displayed during your stay were not aligned with this principle. Furthermore, the apartment was left in a severely unclean state, with food left scattered in the kitchen and trash not disposed of properly — a behavior that does not meet the basic standards of respect expected in our community space. Our team is dedicated to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and community-driven space for all, and we will always uphold these values firmly. We remain committed to transparency and quality service. We encourage future guests to read our listing carefully and to contact us in advance with any questions to ensure their expectations align with our concept. We wish you safe travels.

I am lucky to have arrived for the first barbecue after ramadan where I was glad to have met many of the CoZi and Djerba community, we had a great time. I would recommend CoZi to any travellers passing through Djerba, i promise you won’t be disappointed. The staff were top notch, Ala and Mohammed, thank you so much for all your help during my stay it was very much appreciated.

Verified reviewMohammed is really a good host, he prepared a very nice apartments , cozy, modern and well equipped. Moreover the space runs a cowork place which guests can use. Perfect place to stay very near from amazing beaches in Djerba while meeting very humble, friendly and smart local entrepreneurs. I would never go to a beach hostel or resort comparing with the opportunity which is to stay at Cozi Coliving.
