Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomCigarette smoke!! Urgghh, the bar by the pool was grim on a night time, full of local men on the hunt, while smoking themselves to death.
Our room was immaculate, clean swimming pool, pool/beach towels provided with a deposit. Good breakfast options. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Water in the bathroom was always red hot, fresh towels daily and there was a kettle in the room with sugar and tea bags provided. Hotel is well situated to explore the island, definitely recommend going to see the crocodiles and the small castle. Houmpt Souk has a big Sunday market which is great for some bargains. Food wise, the restaurants aren't awesome, there are no bars for evening drinks, so if that's what you're looking for, good luck. Djerba is a lovely island we had an awesome time ❤

Francethe night can be quite noisy: cats fighting, security conversations.
the staff is absolutely adorable and really care about details. the room were super well decorated and really well maintained and clean. The receptionist were always super helful with great recommendations for tailor, restaurants or taxi. On the day there were no taxi , the staff was so kind to drop me. The breakfast was also really delicious, with fresh fruits and omelett or crepes. Could also enjoy the spa with a wonderful massages.

AustriaThe personal at the bar were not really kind. There focus was lying on the alcoholic beverages and did not pay attention to non alcoholic drinks. I had to order a coffee three times and still fid not get it. The food was mediocre, the breakfast was good.
Rooms were very clean and big. The air conditioner work very well. The pool was super clean. The private beach was also clean and directly accessible.

Czech RepublicPretty good value for the hotel for the place. Actually much cheaper than other less quality hotels in Tunisia. I´m not a fan of hotels on the beach in resorts, but after 3 weeks offroading around the country the rest is good.

Friendly and helpful staff, especially Najwa made sure that our stay was very pleasant. The hotel is located right next to the beach and features a little swimming pool. The entire hotel feels less like a hotel and more like a private home. I much prefer this to the larger hotels.

CanadaWe arrived around 5pm and we had to wait for 15min for the room to be ready. The toilet hose was leaking. There is a blinking light in the corridor, next to the single bed. Not ideal if you appreciate complete darkness, you will have to cover it.
The stuff was welcoming, polite and very friendly. The room was clean. Very nice terrace, well equipped.

BulgariaThe breakfast is definitely not "fabulous". The choice is very limited and certainly not for a 4* hotel. Also, the cleanliness of the tables is not really great. I am just someone who doesn't really eat a lot otherwise I would had a problem. Generally, I didn't like the "extra attention" I received by the massagist and the life-guard. I suppose this is a common thing single women-travelers experience in Tunisia, but should not happen in a 4*hotel. Also, one of the male receptionist (after checking my name obviously) sent to me a FB friendship request. That made me very uncomfortable. This is certainly not something appropriate for any hotel staff. I prefer to think that the above is just "different standards and cultures" (Tunisia vs Europe).
The hotel is right at the beach and this was very nice. It has it's own sunbeds for free use by the guests. There is also security and that gave us a feeling of safety while at the beach. Fatma is very helpful and I appreciate everything that she did to help us. The chambre maids were very friendly and helpful.

Austriathe hotel doubles as a nightclub, playing loud techno music after 9-10pm. it is impossible to have a nice beer at the pool area or outside in general without getting blasted by that music. you have to go elsewhere or up your room if you are not a fan of their music. they should decide which target group they want to cater to - the music / noise seemed to bother multiple guests (they seem to try to attract guests from places around for their bar). water is only sold at the restaurant and overpriced (5 Dinar instead of 1-2 at surrounding stores).
the staff is very welcoming and accommodating (especially fatma), they arranged a tour for us wand arranged our airport taxi with no extra charge, the hotel is charming, the pool area is spacy and the courtyard is very pretty with plenty of plants (i wish there was more tables there). the hotel has direct beach access. there are several small shops and one supermarket nearby.

Finland- internet was extremely poor in the room, it worked only outside of the room - the toilet didn’t flash during the entire stay so we had flash water manually - the receptionist informed us that we cannot drink own water in the hotel (that is is forbidden) even in our own room. This is defenitely not usual or even normal. it is understandable that you cannot drink e.g. own alcohol in public premises but tellling that buying own water which we were drinking in the room is forbidden looks to us like pushing us for buying their water.

SpainAvoid this place.
The hotel was a construction site. Almost everything in the hotel was closed: beach side restaurant, beach and pool areas (the chairs were unusable). The room did NOT have hot water. The hotel was NOT ready to have guests. We left after the first night there. The hotel didn't warned us about the construction, nor reduced the price or compensated us. Avoid this place.

United KingdomSometimes the road outside/disco was noisy, but not too intrusive.
The staff were incredibly warm with a genuine desire to help and ensure we had a good stay. It felt like being in a large family. The room was always cleaned and with nice touches, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. The interior is authentically decorated and the outside has a pool and walkway to the beach - only metres away with white sand and blue sea. It’s easy to get a taxi to the local town where authentic Djerban culture can be experienced. There is live music/a disco in the bar every night but also the option to eat quietly in the restaurant. I can’t recommend it enough!

The hotel is very clean & rooms spacious with a fridge & balcony. Hotel was situated on a beautiful clean beach and had a lovely pool area. The cafe bar was nice and the breakfast was good with a fresh omelette everyday. The hotel staff are super friendly and very polite and helpful. We used the spa twice really lovely and very good price. We went out of season but still found some ok bars and restaurants. We got a taxi easily outside the hotel only £8 to airport and even less to Djerbahood and Souk. My partner got sick and they allowed us to have the room the whole day rather than early checkout which were very grateful for. Mostly French speaking google translate was helpful. Just a reminder don’t expect western standard restaurants but do expect cheap meals. I did look at the suite room during the stay wow massive sea view balcony that would be gorgeous when the weather is hot.
