Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe would definitely recommend renting a car - which you can do directly from Dar Nael. Although Djerbahood is only a couple of minutes walk away, we couldn't always get a taxi to travel further afield. Once we got a car, we could explore the entire island which was well worth it.
The breakfast was always delicious and plentiful. Would definitely recommend eating here - the food was better than in any restaurant we tried. The bed was comfortable and the ambiance in Dar Nael was calm and peaceful.

United KingdomThe staff are amazing and look after you so well. The food was great and we ate there every night! So easy to come out of your room to a beautiful meal. The rooms are done to a lovely standard and very spacious; we also enjoyed relaxing on the upstairs balcony. Thank you to Hamza for sorting us with a car to rent too. Everyone has been so helpful and friendly. Thank you so much! Dar Naël was the highlight of our trip to Derjba.

AustraliaNothing to fault - perfection!
Dar Nael is a very special place. It is a feast for the eyes and soul - beautifully styled, amazing rooms and a perfect location walking distance to Djerbahood. But what really makes this place is the wonderful family who run it, they'll go above and beyond and the food is delicious, make sure you try the dinner menu.

CanadaNothing. It was great.
This property looks like it is out of a magazine - it is both modern and traditional. The pool is lovely and refreshing after a hot day of sightseeing. The bed and chairs are very comfortable. The location is Djerbahood is great - we did not mind being away from the beach and the town is interesting. Definitely have dinner there as the food was the best we had in Tunisia. The owner is very nice! English is limited so some French is helpful.

United KingdomThe lady and gentlemen who manage this hotel are the sweetest people with the biggest heart. The lady's cooking is out of this world. Real homemade food. Felt like we were in a home away from home. Make sure you have dinner if you're here. I'll come to Djerba again just to stay in this hotel. Highlights - very clean - the sheets and pillow smelt clean and freshly laundered - beds are comfortable - it's beautiful - perfect for all your Instagram and tiktok videos - the owner, the staff and everyone was lovely (even the cat :)! - it's right next to Djerba hood - short drive away from the centre - if you can't speak French, the lady and gentlemen can communicate well with Google translate or other similar apps - THE BREAKFAST!!!!!! - I could go on and on about other good things We only stayed here for one night as it was at the end of our trip and it was the highlight of our trip. Please book at least two or more nights so you don't regret booking only one night like us. I could stay here for one week.

BelgiumBeautifull oasis of peace and quiet. You can see that everything has been thought through down to the smallest detail. When we arrived we got a tour from the whole dar, even all the rooms that weren't occupied. Hamza and Ibtissem where very friendly. I strongly recommend eating there! We left them to choose because we eat everything and it was delicious.

AustraliaNothing at all
Lovely touch for our honeymoon with flower petals and a.pair of folded towel swans. The hotel was beautiful and we had a lovely 2 night stay there. The amenities were ample, the sheets were clean, the bed was comfortable. The wifi was good. The pool and jacuzzi looked so enticing, but we couldn't enjoy it due to the cold weather. The location in djerbahood was central to get around anywhere on the island. Taxi station is only a few minutes walk But the best of all we absolutely loved Hamza and Ibtissem. Despite our lack of Arabic and french proficiency and using Google translate they were ever so patient and kind in providing assistance whenever with needed with a smile.on their face. Breakfast that was included was generous and filling. Dinner can be provided on order was delicious and well valued. I definitely recommend Dar Naël for a few nights stay if you're visiting Djerba!

United KingdomThe room we booked said 2 bedrooms but actually there was a mezzanine with a dangerous slab of stone sticking out to access the mezzanine with 3 mattresses. Bathrooms don’t have doors. Kitchen is locked at night so if you need the kettle for hot water you have to wait till someone arrives. Location on the island is not where I would stay again.
Lovely Dar - very charming. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The cook is amazing…as vegetarians the only option was pasta and it was amazing. Massage was fabulous.
