Staff were so professional and helpful. The room was beautiful, clean and stylish. The pool area was lovely with free towels to use. Breakfast was delicious and you can sit in the outside dining area with an amazing view. Very peaceful and just step outside to hotel and you're in a busy area with popular food places and sites. They organised an airport transfer and I also used the hammam and had a great massage. Loved it!

I wished I stayed longer.

Alles war perfekt

the hotel delivers an upscale experience but at human scale. Small, charming and authentic. We stayed there for 6 nights and got to know most staff members by name, thanks to their lovely attitude and dedication to good service. We had some minor hiccups along the way, but all were resolved promptly and amicably - which is a big plus in my book.

Such a unique hotel. Beautifully decorated, with ornate mosaics. The location is perfect. The views are stunning. The staff are friendly and helpful.

I really liked the property — it was modern and beautifully designed

To be honest, I stayed at the property for nine days. While a few staff members were lovely — the receptionist, the manager, and the female supervisor were all kind and helpful — unfortunately, the rest of the staff were quite rude and unprofessional. I often had to tip them just to receive basic services, such as cleaning my room, offering breakfast options, or even getting eggs included in my already-paid breakfast. This made my stay very uncomfortable. One night, I returned at 1 AM and found the door locked, which was quite distressing as I am a tourist and unfamiliar with the area. The parking situation was also a major issue. I did not feel comfortable at the hotel, either for myself — coming from Dubai — or for my VIP guest who visited me there. Additionally, I noticed a few questionable practices around billing, particularly with the laundry service, and the night shift staff displayed a very poor attitude. Unfortunately, I would not choose to stay here again

Lovely property with fabulous gardens and a nice pool. Well situated at the top of the town with plenty of restaurants in walking distance The staff were all very friendly and helpful and we had a great week. Highly recommend.

Breakfast was ok but would have preferred more fruit/yogurt options rather than the salads which were more suited to lunch. But that’s just a personal preference!

The place is beautiful. They have a beautiful garden and a beautiful pool. It’s a little oasis where you can enjoy peace. Everything is super clean, the food is good and the staff is very welcoming and always available. Sofien has been extremely nice and supportive.

Beautiful hotel in a fabulous location. Nice to enjoy the area after all the daytrippers left. Room was spacious and clean. Front desk staff extremely helpful. Massages were lovely and reasonably priced.

Shower was not contained and spread water everywhere. Breakfast was tasty but service was poor, often no one around to clear plates and replenish coffee etc.

Gorgeous room, wonderful pool, and lovely terrace with a view of the port. Breakfast was nice and the staff were very kind.

Perhaps we should have done a bit more research about getting to the hotel because our transport from the airport struggled to find its way up. The hotel is in a pedestrian area, just a minutes walk from the nearest road. Perhaps little inconvenient for less capable guests, but it wasn’t an issue for us! Just some clearer instructions about getting to the hotel upon booking would be ideal. Again, not a deal breaker whatsoever, just a heads up for anyone who might struggle with carrying luggage to the hotel.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, the guesthouse was beautifully restored and the rooms were comfortable. Loved the central location, right in the middle of the bustling medina and the view from the terrace was stunning. Breakfast was delicious

The air conditioners didn’t work. The shuttered windows overlooking the central courtyard were kept open for ventilation so rooms not sound proof. 2 staircases from the street to your room, so be prepared if you have health issues.

I came back to Sidi Bou Said because I wanted to stay at Dar Said. It is an enchanting place with a magnificent location overlooking the bay of Tunis and it feels like being in a luxurious private home where every detail is taken care of fondly and adapted to the place. The furnishings are simply perfect. The gardens are delightful and incredibly peaceful. We will come back!

Apart from the fact that the wifi is practically inexistant (which adds to its charm) nothing!
