What I didn’t like was not really the hotel itself, but the surrounding area. Unfortunately, the streets around the hotel are quite dirty, which seems to be a common issue in Tunis. Apart from the main roads, the city in general could be much cleaner.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The room was very clean, and I didn’t hear any external noise, which made it comfortable and relaxing. The location is also convenient, just about a 15-minute walk from the center of Tunis. Breakfast was decent, and I appreciated that the hotel has two bars where they also serve food. The beer prices were reasonable compared to other hotels, which was a nice surprise.

The room initially had a slightly musty smell, as if it hadn’t been aired out well, but once we ventilated it and turned on the air conditioning, it became much more comfortable.

We had a truly pleasant stay at Lafayette Hotel. The staff were extremely welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The location was convenient — close to everything we needed, yet still peaceful and relaxing. I particularly appreciated the attention to small details and the overall atmosphere of professionalism and warmth. The breakfast was also varied and absolutely delicious. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area. I would definitely return!

Nothing in particular good for price / quality.

I really enjoyed my stay. The location was great 15 min walk to the bab Al Bahar. My room was clean the staff were very helpful I liked them a lot. It was my first time in Tunisia they helped me with everything.

A bit far from the medina and other interesting districts of Tunis (25-30 minutes walk). Wi-fi was erratic. There were oddly few implements to serve oneself at the breakfast buffet. Noise from the bar below sometimes audible. It was just a silly misunderstanding, but when we arrived we explained that we hadn't decided whether we wanted to settle up by card or in cash. The next day, my friend decided he preferred to pay in cash and withdrew enough Tunisian dinars to cover the bill... only for us to discover that my card had been charged automatically, which mean we were stuck with dinars we couldn't spend as we left the country.

Comfortable room that felt quite nice for the price, with a helpful desk to work at. Breakfast buffet quite sizeable and varied with ordinary international options supplemented by local Tunisian foods. Reception staff mostly friendly; good English spoken.

Unable to have a proper shower, the water would stop running out of the blue while in the shower making it difficult to rince off once in the middle of shampooing! very low water pressure in shower
