How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful stay at Marhaba Palace Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff—particularly Mukhtar and Bassem—were extremely professional and welcoming, making check-in smooth and pleasant. Our room was clean, well-maintained, and offered a stunning view, which we truly appreciated. The food and drinks throughout our stay were generally of good quality, with a nice variety to choose from. One of the highlights of our experience was the staff. Most of them worked very hard and were exceptionally friendly, creating a warm and hospitable atmosphere. A special mention goes to Mr. Abdel Bari, who was particularly kind and engaging—our daughter especially enjoyed playing riddles with him, which became a memorable part of our trip.
Unfortunately, we did encounter a couple of staff members who were less courteous, and some of the food items—such as the burgers and chicken nuggets—were not very tasty. It was evident that they were frozen and not of the best quality. However, these minor issues did not overshadow the overall positive experience we had at the hotel.

Verified reviewVery clean facility, we had a wonderful stay at this resort! The location is truly unbeatable – right on the beachfront with the most stunning views from morning to sunset. It was so relaxing to wake up and step right out onto the sand. The atmosphere felt peaceful yet lively, and everything was within easy reach. The rooms were comfortable, the staff were warm and welcoming, and the whole experience was just what we needed for a perfect getaway. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a resort with an amazing beachfront location! ALL INCLUSIVE meaning breakfast lunch, and dinner were all served here. Food was good with a good selection and variety of options

Verified reviewThis is a very familiar hotel for us and we have stayed here many times. We like the location as it's near to Kantoui which can be accessed via walking along the beach or a tourist path. Kantoui has several shops, cafes and a marina and taxis are easily accessible from here too. The hotel staff have always been friendly and remember us. The food has been of a good standard and the Seaview room is one of the best in Sousse area.
This time we noticed that a lot of the staff that we knew here had gone and had been replaced by still friendly people but the familiarity had gone. The hotel didn't seem to be as clean. On other visits we had seen the lovely female cleaners cleaning the pool area early every morning and the beach area seemed cleaner then too. The food in the restaurant seemed a lot more basic this time with less choice ( maybe due to the high cost of groceries now).

The restaurant experience was very disappointing. There were two time slots for dinner, and I chose the later one as the first was too early for me. However, when I arrived, most of the food was already gone and no replenishment was provided for the second time slot. Additionally, guests were not allowed to sit at empty tables because waiters claimed they were all reserved. They rudely asked us to leave the table without offering any assistance or alternative. I had to walk around the restaurant with my plate in hand, looking for a place to sit. When I found another empty table (which hadn’t been cleaned yet), I was told again that I couldn’t sit there because the previous guests "might come back for their leftovers." This situation is absolutely unacceptable. For a simple 10-15 minute dinner, I had to go through unnecessary stress and unpleasant conversations with the staff. A very unwelcoming check-in experience. Upon my arrival, the security guard at the entrance refused to let me in because I had another wristband on my wrist. These wristbands are often not removable without cutting them, and mine was still on due to a last-minute flight cancellation. Even though I had a confirmed reservation at this hotel, the guard didn't allow me to enter, refused to call reception, and told me to leave in a very rude manner. When I showed him my reservation, he remained disinterested and dismissive. Only after another, English-speaking security guard intervened were we able to resolve the issue. It is completely unacceptable to be treated this way before even checking in.

Verified reviewFirst time in Tunesia and I stayed at this hotel for 7 days. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The staff were very nice and friendly, always welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. A special shoutout to the cleaning lady Latifa and restaurant staffs (evening crew). The food was okay, I noticed some repetition on certain days, which could get a bit monotonous. However, it was still decent enough for a holiday. In summary, this hotel offers good hospitality and cleanliness, making it a solid choice if you’re looking for a relaxing stay in Tunisia.
