Great breakfast with Tunisian food. Very nice breakfast room staff. The old fashioned French colonial style is charming. Large room with balcony.

Desperate need for a face lift. Dated property. Uncomfortable bed and pillows.

The staff

This building is dilapidated, it’s kinda worst than a motel in America. I get it hotels are expensive but this hotels stay shouldn’t be more than 1 ONE NIGHT! My room smelt like fresh paint, like WTF! I couldn’t sleep at all my nose was constantly burning due to the paint smell. I should have saved my money and gone to a better hotel.

Warm, friendly attentive staff, accommodated a late afternoon check out which was very much appreciated. Beautiful spiral staircase and an old worldly vibe. Very clean. Great breakfast, delicious fresh strawberry juice. Fantastic value for money.

The pictures and description of the hotel on the booking.com website was very different to what we actually stayed in. The pictures and description showed and described a grand hotel with Spa, Gym and air-conditioning but is was the opposite no Gym no Spa and the rooms very dated no Air-conditioning and a room full of mosquitoes due to having the doors open due to the heat of the room.

Wonderfully located, a beautiful historic hotel. Great facilities, including a great bar with a terrace. Staff were excellent

Shower pressure could have been better

The room was big and quite clean. Good position for the visit of the Medina.

You could hear everything from one room to another in the hotel. There were a lot of mosquitoes.

Majestic Hotel is an old colonial French building with interesting history but is rather faded and in need of serious renovation in places ( carpets worn and dirty, drapes are similar, bed and pillows lumpy and hard). It’s in a great location though , walking distance to Medina, Clock Tower etc. Staff very helpful and friendly.

The spacious room, the old world charm and the location. Huge bathroom. The view of the park. The lovely natural light. Kettle and bar fridge.

The lack of generosity - water only on day 1. 2 sachets of tea. 2 PAPER CUPS. No coffee. The kettle was placed nowhere near a plug point. We found long hair on the floor. The mattress was tired.

The Majestic hotel is a charming old hotel in the center of Tunis, outside the Medina. Excellent location, convenient for walking everywhere, it has a restaurant inside otherwise within walking distance there are many others, as well as various shops and even real shopping centers. The hotel has a charm all its own, one of those hotels not too modernized, comfortable with very large rooms equipped with all comforts. Recommended!

The staff at the breakfast buffet were wonderful. And the location was good and the rooms were clean.

The whole place smelt of cigarette smoke, and if you leave your room door open for too long, your room starts smelling of cigarette smoke, too. If you’re not a smoker, it’s disgusting. The place is tired and worn out. When I asked for a taxi to be booked for the airport, I was told it would cost me 60 dirham three times what it should’ve done, and more than what other hotels charge to book a taxi. That was an absolute rip-off.
