Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeI do not mind the cramp room or the poor facilities or even the noisy neighbours late at night, but my gosh, a room with no Air-conditioning is passable, but not even A FAN ? Hahaha I'm sweating the whole night, and the mosquito that kept swarming you kept you awake at night battling them. 😅 You can close the window but it will be super humid. What i recommend is buying a cheap fan from a second hand shop it's cheaper, but only if you planned to stay for more than 2 nights.
I like the environment, children playing soccer, buildings are worn out but beautiful, the streets are a mess but full of life, it's like you really feel the ghetto of Tunisia. You really experience how the layman lives their life in tunisia unlike the popular tourist spots.

Australiait’s unclean, it feels sketchy and the staff are not friendly and speak no English. when I looked at the sheets they had dirt and hairs - so I asked for them to be changed which they did. the sink in the room was so dirty - it had not been cleaned for a long time. Room was freezing cold in January. I normally like cheap basic local accommodation but this place was just dirty and sketchy. It could be a really great hotel but the staff do not seem to care. only stay if you cannot afford nicer.
Cheapest private room in central Tunis, good location, easy to find, they let me checkin several hours early, beautiful old building, excellent wifi (but I got a room next to the wifi router).

MalaysiaFirst I booked for 2 days. I get a room without fan and aircon. I complained to staff and they gave another room with extra charge; I pay extra amount. I can’t sleep because of many Bed Bugs, my body was swallowed. I reported again, they change room, whereby their staff room, with aircon. I only stayed one night and runaway from this hotel. They payback for second day amount. So bad experience.
The location and simple breakfast.

The price is very good. The staff were helpfull. I stayed here twice: once in the beginning of my trip once in the end. Therefore i stayed i two rooms. The first room had Hot water. The second room had an aircondition that warms the room. The location is close to the old city and a supermarked.

FinlandThe hotel have a cheap hostel rooms in the same building so if someone want to be in luxury hotel this is not right place for you.
The location is perfect for someone want to visit Tunis's old city Medina, also the hotel it self is part of Medena's history. A good experience for someone interested by the old city of Tunis.

SlovakiaHonestly, this place should not be called hotel. It is literally an accommodation for the socially disadvantaged. And I do not mean it as an insult, it's just what it is. Staff was very nice and helpful even if they don't speak english. But the place was extremely lowcost. There was a musty odor in the room, i didn't trust the bed sheets so i slept in my clothes. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom and no soap. Toilet itself was visibly used, to say it nicely and there were yellow stains on the towel. But they had a tv and ac. So, that's about it about comfort and hygiene. Now security. I'd compare the neighborhood to a higher class slum. Definitely not a place I would recommend to visit. Narrow streets, trash and stench everywhere, everything around damaged. It's not a good idea to walk around alone. All and all, I'm still alive, so it was not completely bad. But if you have a choice I'd recommend to choose somewhere else.
