How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Everything I thought I booked 5 star hotel … unfortunately this hotel should be no stars at all !!!! Staff horrible and lyres I was most of the time on the phone every day complaining about everything to booking.com 6:30 pm and the room still not cleaned and then they got me dirty towels!!!!

Daily power cut, odour from the water drainage, general cleanliness, slippery surface around the pools and the bottom of the pools caused us some cuts on the feet. A completely empty minibar in the room without the possibility to order soft drinks to the minibar. The telephone in the room didn't work and we were told they can't do anything about it. Vegetables like lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, carrots, cabbage were completely dry which made it inedible.

Repeatedly assigned rooms far from facilities despite my requests, and finally placed in a room with stairs and no lift — unsafe with babies and an elderly parent. • No drinking water provided in the room; the landline didn’t work; and staff ignored my calls (over 100 attempts). • Extremely dirty room: spiders, mosquitos, and insects everywhere, causing my daughter severe allergic reactions and skin rashes. • My asthmatic daughter’s health was endangered due to dust, insects, and nightly power cuts — leaving us without AC, light, or the ability to charge my phone for emergencies. • Fridge broken, spoiling my daughter’s medicine; AC and TV remotes not working. • No housekeeping during the entire stay; wet towels were never replaced. • Reception staff were unprofessional and dismissive, responding to my complaints with, “What do you want me to do?” • After asking staff to remove a plate of fruit from the room, they left it in the stairs for a full day, and later I found it behind the stairs in the ground floor for two more days, rotting, smelling foul, and attracting more insects — adding to the unsafe and unhygienic environment. This stay was unsafe, unsanitary, and unacceptable. It endangered my child’s health, caused emotional distress, and was a clear breach of the service standards advertised.

Verified reviewOne of the longest waiting time in the reception, show the guys the booking confirmation more than time and they still insisted that it’s not received, we waited more than 1 hour to get our room, the mini bar is empty, no sign how to call reception ( not zero call ) get down and check with them they said should call 9 for reception, asked for laundry said should take the the clothes and waiting for 24 hours, asked for laundry box to do it by myself they don’t have, when you talk to the reception stuff they don’t have clear answer, or just ignore you.

As returning guests, we already had high expectations based on our previous experience, but this visit managed to exceed them in every way. The staff welcomed us like family and made sure every moment was special. The service, as always, was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and thoughtful. We loved the variety and quality of the food, and the kids had a blast at the pool and on the beautiful beach. The entire property is kept spotless and inviting, and it’s clear that the team takes real pride in making guests feel at home. Verified reviewThe bungalows that we had are perfect. The staff is amazing. The food is OMG delicious. We've been so spoilt in this holiday. The staff are the secret weapons here. From reception, wait staff and the F&b manager. They are all very friendly, helpful and sincere people. They elevated our stay this entire holiday. My husband and I had double bday celebrations and they treated us for free meals and huge bday cake. I cannot thank the resort enough for an unforgettable holiday. Thank you Fakhri (reception) and Sami (f&b manager).
