How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewUnfortunately, I was quite disappointed with my stay. The staff and the bartenders were very unfriendly and acted unprofessionally this had a big negative impact on the overall experience. The restaurant staff was a bit better, but the service there was still only average. The room was clean and generally fine, but the air conditioning did not work at all and with outside temperatures around 34°C, that made it very uncomfortable. It’s a shame, because with more attentive and professional staff, the stay could have been much more pleasant.

We were about to cancel the whole reservation and wanted to leave as soon as we found out how bad it was. The first vacation we've had so far. Very dirty place. 80% of the total place was under renovation. We found out later on that the place was closed for about 2y now and was just reopened. The whole place was falling apart. The food was discusting and room service not allowed like it was mentioned in the description. All of us had diarrhea for days because the food was in a room at 43 degrees. Cheese and mortadela under that for hours. Everything soggy and smelly would be served again. When complained , they apologize and would turn it on for an hour then off again for days. I would feel the sweat down my back while having breakfast. Never enjoyed a single meal. They would put one cook for 4 stations for breakfast, donuts, waffles, pancakes and omelettes so you can only imagine the line and disappointment.
Please note that we have had a site inspection during your stay and there was no evidence of any issues or poor practice noted. The hotel was in good order throughout, there are no works being carried out. Food hygiene was found to be in order and hot snacks were in a hot cupboard and cold foods chilled. We have 0 claims of illness and no requests from any client for medical support. The hotel buffet area is all compltely brand new for 2025. As you state, there are 4 show cooking stations for breakfast alone - we consider this to be above and beyond customer expecations We have a full housekeeping team and 3 or 4 reception desk staff available daily for anything that is needed. We are sad to hear all of this was not up to your expecatons and thank you for your feedback

Équipements, all is not working. Very dirty room. All workers or almost are genius in creating new products they sell to you: I’ve kept for you the best parking, the best table, I give you the best room, the best slot.. and, this is actually what you paid for but you need to give extra to everyone to enjoy what you actually already paid. See view turns out to be dirt and dust view. Air conditioning not working. Room access card not working, so annoying to go back and forth to open your room. All the solutions from the reception are type; we will send someone, that comes or not. And then even if he comes, the things are not resolved, and then reception suggests to change the room. Again annoying. Electricity cuts many times. By night also water was cut. We did realize it once, but probably it’s all times.
