Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South AfricaIn all hotels in Tunisia they allow guests to claim pool or beach loungers by placing their towels down early morning but they are gone all day. Some never came back at all as we were sitting close to many empty beach loungers with towels. They should take a lesson from hotels in Thailand and elsewhere where the towel is removed from the lounger by the hotel after 30 minutes if you aren't there. It works well this way.
Zainab in client services was exceptional , welcoming us with her friendly dimpled smile and looking after us from the moment we arrived. She kept in touch via whatsapp and in person. The hotel is lucky to have her. We were treated to a free upgrade on arrival which was a lovely surprise. We received bands which gave us access to all the extra activities and facilities at the sister hotel next door which was busier so we were happy to be at our quieter hotel with more spacious grounds. The hotel is on a beautiful beach with supermarkets and rows of cafes and restaurants right outside the hotel front entrance. The medina is smaller than other cities but still lovely and only a short 15 min walk along the beach promenade. I recommend including Hammamet and this hotel in your visit to Tunisia.

TunisiaOverall, we had a pleasant stay and really enjoyed the service and food at the hotel. However, it would have been better if the private swimming pool had been cleaned before our arrival. That would have made the experience even more enjoyable.
I really appreciated the service and the food at the hotel. The staff was welcoming and attentive, and every meal was delicious and well-prepared. A great experience overall

United Arab EmiratesThe only downside was the elevator it was small, outdated, and painfully slow. When people had luggage and during busy hours you had to wait for ages just to get a ride. Definitely something that could use an upgrade to match the rest of the hotel’s high standards.
A Perfect One-Stop Vacation! 🌴☀️ This is my 4th year on a raw booking here This hotel truly exceeded all expectations The food was absolutely the best thing ever fresh, flavorful, and always a great variety. Everything was sparkling clean, from the rooms to the public areas There are multiple pools and a variety of facilities, it’s all right there. Parking was easy and secure, so I didn’t have to worry about the car at all. One of the biggest highlights was the beachfront – next level clean and beautiful. Soft sand, clear water, and the staff provided everything we needed at no extra cost. The entire atmosphere was calm and relaxing, ideal for a real getaway. At night, there are fun activities that wrap up on time, so you can still enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep. And waking up to the sunshine streaming through the windows was the perfect start to each day. This place truly has everything you need in one stop. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to relax, recharge, and enjoy a hassle-free beach escape!

PortugalWe would like to see more types of cheese or similar foods. We felt the sweets section was too big in relation to the other ones. The gym AC was broken and the maintenance is a bit lacking.
The staff is very nice, comfortable beds. We got a free of charge upgrade to a suite with sea view and jacuzzi, which was amazing. Food is tasty and with a good variety, mediterranean style.

The pools were excellent and one of the best i have ever visited. The views were incredible from every corner of the hotel, from the pools to the rooms. I would 100% recommend anyone to come and visit and it is definitely a VIP experience.

I recently stayed at the Royal Azur Hammamet Hotel, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. First of all, the hotel is very clean and spacious, with a beautiful design and well-maintained facilities. The location is also excellent, close to attractions while still offering a peaceful atmosphere. The service was truly five-star—the staff were attentive, friendly, and always willing to help. A special thank you for the lovely upgrade from a standard room to a suite! This was a wonderful surprise and made our stay even more enjoyable. The beach in front of the hotel was amazing—clean, well-kept, and perfect for relaxing. The sea was clear and inviting, adding to the overall luxury feel. Overall, I highly recommend the Royal Azur Hammamet Hotel for a luxurious and relaxing stay. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality—I would definitely return!

United KingdomThe receptionist was not friendly and did not explain features of the hotel (pool opening times, where the restaurant was etc) as he was multitasking whilst serving us (on the phone ordering a taxi to another guest and helping other guests at the same time). A few times where we left and entered the hotel, they would avoid eye contact with us and not say hello. The lifeguards and waiters were very friendly and would greet us. In the restaurant, over half of the food items did not have labels (not good for those with allergies or dietary requirements); meaning you have to ask the chefs what the items are. This also probably led to a lot of food wastage as people are just trying all the food without knowing what it is. You have to pay 50 DT to use the gym each time, which we thought was quite expensive given it's just some cardio machines. There was no wifi in most areas by the pool, you would get some signal on the sun loungers closest to the hotel and then also on the beach.
The hotel was very modern, spacious and clean. The beds were comfy and the sea view was amazing. We liked that the air con turned off if you opened the balcony door (to be eco friendly). The room was very spacious for 3 people (we booked a triple room) and there were good amenities in the room (robes, slippers, water etc). The pools were clean and sun loungers were spread out which made it feel more luxurious. The lifeguards were helpful in rearranging the umbrellas/sun loungers if needed. The beach was also lovely! Drinks are also included in the all inclusive packages (including selected cocktails and alcohol). The food was average/good, there was a wide variety. Service at the restaurant (collecting plates, providing water/cutlery etc) was very quick. We paid 120 DT for a taxi from the airport to the hotel for a 45 min drive. We were given a wristband with access to their sister hotel next door and they were so friendly and welcoming. We even joined on their afternoon walking tour to the Medina and attended one of the entertainment shows in the evening.

The location was perfect it was close to the centre of Hammanet that we could walk to almost everyday along the beach. The hotel looks and feels very luxurious. It’s absolutely beautiful. So many places to sit around the 3 beautiful pools including seating inside and in lots of shady areas. Lots of umbrellas too. The 3 bars made up some excellent drinks. The rooms we had were one bedroom suites with an amazing view. They were so spacious it also included 2 bathrooms. The beds were king size and very comfortable. The beach is nice and the water was so warm. Lots of seating on the beach with a pool bar and food all day long. We had the breakfast and dinner option, the food was plentiful and so many choices and it was so really nice that we only went out twice to eat in 10 days. The staff were very friendly always greeted you with a smile and always willing to help. The one person who stood out was Zayneb Mrad in guest relations. Zayneb arranged all our tours and also gave us such good advice as to where to go and what to see. She was excellent. We used the spa and their service there was great. Our holiday was so perfect and I think the combination of this beautiful hotel, the staff, the food, made it a holiday to remember. Thank you Zayneb and your team, keep up the good work.
