Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandThe beach access was a bit of an issue which is the only thing stopping me from giving this property a score of 10. The main reason we chose this hotel is the beach access, but arriving there, we found a group a men who were managing the parasols and allocation of chairs. They were deprioritizing hotel guests and "reserving the best spots" for external guests (assuming because they get paid by externals while hotel guests have free access to the beach. It was such a bummer every morning trying to find a nice location to sit, and being chased out by these men, when most of the parasols and seats were empty. We kept being told they are reserved... but no one really came..
The room was super clean and the property was lovely. Excellent views and location and staff were super nice and accommodating. The breakfast was ok, but overall this is a stunning property and definitely worth it.

United KingdomBreakfast experience not so sure with staff. I just felt ignored that’s all or maybe they ovoid me because am from the same country They definitely give more attention to tourist! Anything else is fine Dinner staff are amazing though definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Reception staff are very good too.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Dinner was excellent staff are amazing. Not 100% sure about breakfast I feel I was bit ignored table not done I had to get my own water and juice which should be ready for me like every other table? It’s all about tourist again same experience at every hotel I’ve been in Tunisia from 3 stars to 4 stars to 5 stars it’s same thing. As I am Tunisian I get less attention. but over all is okay experience . Clean hotel more of summer hotel to be fair.

GermanyThe staff was very friendly and I enjoyed the room and the space. Special thanks to Jeyda from room service for her hospitality! We only disliked the fact that there were some aunts appearing here and there in the room, but I guess it was because of the garden.

United KingdomOn day 2, a strong sewer smell was present in the room on and off throughout the rest of the stay. Seems like a leaky pipe. There were also no wine glasses.
Gorgeous private balcony, both a tub and a shower, easy access to the beach with great service for beach umbrellas and towels. Extensive breakfast buffet. Fresh roses in the room was a lovely touch.

United KingdomThe breakfast was limited, salad did look old and dried up. Seemed like big hotel but small breakfast menu. Can be difficult to travel as a solo female, did encounter hotel staff asking for my social media / number on numerous occasions. Made my stay a bit awkward when wanting to use the pool or beach as changing into swimsuit wear etc. Escalated to manager and was dealt with promptly! I think this is more of a tunisia mindset around solo females.
Beautiful hotel, with an opening reception team. Very open and well kept. Nice private beach front, small area but can walk along the coast for a quieter spot as space gets taken up by residents sunbathing. Room beautiful, great space and storage areas. Bathroom open and clean. Provided with bathroom toiletries and hairdryer. Robe and slippers included. Flowers in the room was a nice touch. The privacy of hotel and beach made it very relaxing.

FranceThe friendliness of the staff was very uneven. The guys at the Scheherazade restaurant were lovely to our little girl. The staff at the restaurant the Chiraz too. Anywhere else people looked annoyed that we were here. At the beach, we found so many cigarette buds, and waste in general, not what you expect of a five star hotel. We had to keep requesting towels, even after a week of being there, had to place our chairs on the beach with the beach staff looking at us unimpressed. Again, not what I expect of a five star hotel. Although the food was generally good and with large variety, I expected to find more options for people who might have allergies or simply want to lead a more healthy lifestyle, like alternative mills, alternative teas other than bagged black tea, green tea, camomille and verbena… Finally a lot of the food was not labeled. That could be improved. Would also have been nice to have a kettle and tea/ coffee in the room. Finally, that is not the hotel directly, but we tried the quad that was aggressively sold to us by a man near the reception, and that was a huge disappointment. We visited what looked like a dumpster, couldn’t really speed or do anything fun for most of the 2 hours we were there. The man who was our guide was as friendly as a prison door and we were only offered water standing awkwardly by the quads parking at the end. Again, not at all the standard I think about when I imagine 5 stars, not what I have experienced before either when I paid these kind of prices for quad.
The inside of the hotel is beautiful. The gardens, the rooms, the entrance by the reception, the swimming pools. Even the one that was by the part of the hotel that is being rebuild was very nice to use. The room was comfortable and had what we needed. Food was good throughout.

QatarI stayed at The Sindbad from September 1st to 3rd, and once again, it was a wonderful experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well organized. The beach and pool area are simply amazing, creating the perfect atmosphere to relax and enjoy. This is my 4th stay at The Sindbad, and every time I try another hotel, I end up coming back here—my favorite place. It truly feels like home, my happy place in Hammamet. A special thanks to the beach staff for their kindness and excellent service—they made my stay even more enjoyable. Looking forward to my next visit!
