How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Very big, had issues with the lifeguard in the relax pool. Crazy guy, upset me over trying to book daybeds through the app. He’s very grumpy and spends most of his day scowling or blowing his whistle. Side note, turn the relax pool into an adults pool and then you won’t have issues re noise. Felt I was rail roaded into signing a document at the end of my stay that I was happy regarding resolving my issues with a late check out. Well not entirely no. Hotel is too vast which isn’t great for customer journey.

Your feedback is truly appreciated. We are, however, sorry to learn about your discomfort regarding the interaction at the relax pool. Please allow us to clarify: when a guest books a daybed through the hotel’s mobile app, the system indicates clearly that the payment must be completed at the reception to finalize the reservation. The lifeguard on duty was simply following protocol by requesting proof of payment before allowing access to the reserved space. His role includes ensuring fairness for all guests and maintaining the calm atmosphere of the relax pool. That said, we understand that the situation may have felt frustrating, and we sincerely regret any inconvenience caused. Our team, including the F&B Manager and the Blue Guide team, responded promptly to clarify the process and offer support. As a gesture of goodwill, a complimentary late check-out was granted and accepted. Please note that the form you signed upon acceptance is a standard internal document used to confirm this arrangement. Your suggestion to make the relax pool adults-only has been noted, and your comments regarding the overall layout of the resort and check-out process will also be reviewed carefully. Apart being a perfect hotel, there are very minor items which actually didn't bother me much. For example there are some areas which can be modernized, the sea is wavy in the afternoons and the location is a little far from town center.

Verified reviewWe stayed for two nights at TUI BLUE Manar in Hammamet and had a very enjoyable experience overall. The location is fantastic—right in front of a beautiful, clean beach with crystal-clear water. The hotel grounds were spacious and green, with a lovely garden where each plants area was labeled, creating a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere, which made it feel more like a peaceful park than just a beachfront resort. Our room was large, clean, and had a lovely pool view. We stayed in the second building (Manar 2), which meant a bit of walking to reach the main building for the reception and restaurant—something to consider for those who may have mobility issues. The hotel offers plenty of activities and amenities: several pools (one with toboggans for fun, one for relaxation, and another for activities), sports courts (tennis, basketball, football, paddle), a snack bar, and a sandwich club. There are also several bars available throughout the day for drinks. The beach area was a highlight—clean, well-equipped, and perfect for swimming or relaxing. As for the restaurant , the food was generally good, though not exceptional. There was a lot of variety and choices in terms of foods. The staff were friendly, hardworking, and did a great job keeping things running smoothly. There was daytime entertainment and animation, but evenings were quieter, with less going on. We would have loved to stay longer to try more of the available activities. In summary, TUI BLUE Manar is a well-maintained 5-star hotel ideal for beach lovers and families. Still, we truly enjoyed our time there and would be happy to return.
There were a few things that didn’t meet expectations. Our room was a bit noisy during the day due to pool activity, and towel service was limited—we were told there’s a fixed number, which felt insufficient. There were no bath caps, and one major disappointment was the lack of a toilet hose bidet in the bathroom. This is standard in Tunisian bathrooms and part of the local hygiene culture, so its absence felt like a disconnect from local norms. Some food items, especially at lunch and dinner, didn’t seem very fresh and a few even had a slight bad smell. This is concerning, especially with many children around, and we believe it’s important for the hotel to improve food quality checks before serving specially in summer. The dessert selection was repetitive, and night-time entertainment was minimal. The hotel is also very large, requiring a lot of walking between buildings, which may not be suitable for everyone. Finally, we were asked during checkout to give a rating of 10 in the review. While the stay was good, this kind of request can lead to unrealistic ratings that don’t reflect the full picture.
