Reviews of A Suite Side

The peaceful atmosphere, and yet the music at the perfect times through the day was just brilliant! Room was big and a washing machine in our room was a game changer! We loved the whole place.

We upgraded to an executive suite with the hot tub, but it meant we lost a balcony view of the pool and surrounding! And then we didnt really even use the hot tub anyway. Definitely go for a poolside ground floor room over it all day long, literally walk out to the pool if you do!

Evening opening hours of the bar unpredictable. Swimming pool closes a bit early.

I stayed with my family, it was very calm and relaxing place.. the staff is super nice and helpful specially Mr. Hamza and the cleaning team.. special thanks to Fatma,Asiye,Fatime, Fadima and Kristina to keep our property super tidy and clean!! Worth every single penny!

Would prefer adult only as a couple of teenagers spoilt our time by the pool with rowdiness and generally taking over the pool. Dishwasher tablets along with dish cloth and pan scourer would have been a bonus

The whole place was beautiful and clean.. with super friendly staff .. we can’t wait to return next year xx

Maybe a few more self catering bits., such as a toaster and coffee pot.. and we had no cleaning aids.. sponges or washing up liquid etc.. also the cleaner missed fresh towels on a number of occasions.. the place is such a great spot., these missing bits didn’t bother us much..x

Breakfast

A Suite Side is a nice apart hotel, not big: there are in total like 30 apartments in two buildings. Our apartment was on the 1st floor. It is modern & has a quite big living room with a terrace & a quite large kitchenette equipped with a cooker, a fridge, a microwave, a dishwasher and a wash machine. Only an over is missing. There are some plates, glasses, cutlery, pots etc. (but no tea mugs). In the living room there’s a big TV, a sofa that can be used for sleeping and an additional folding bed. In the bedroom there’s a quite big and comfortable bed and a wardrobe. The bedlinen and towels are provided. Both the living room and bedroom are airconditioned. The apartment is quite big, only the bathroom could be a bit bigger. The living rooms in all apartments are facing the pool, but the bedrooms either the (not busy) street or some unused land, so it’s quiet in bedrooms even when the bar by the pool is open. The hotel doesn’t have its own parking lot, but there parking spaces on the street in front & we never had problems to find a place. The hotel is located by a side street with limited traffic, yet the main streets with bars, restaurants & shops are just few minutes walking away. The old town is 1/2h away, the closest beach 10m. The hotel has an agreement with one of beach bars where the hotel guests (tickets at the reception) can use sunbeds & umbrellas for free, yet to reach that (quite nice) beach one needs to take the not very frequent transport arranged by the hotel or go by car. The bar by the hotel’s pool serves good Turkish breakfasts, yet overpriced: costs 15 Euro, while similar breakfasts one can eat in restaurants nearby for half that price. The staff was helpful during our whole stay, no issues while check in/out. The reception is open 24h. To summarize: it’s a modern nice hotel for those who don’t like huge, crowded hotels common in this part of Turkey.

There are some aspects that can be improved. Before arriving I read some negative comments about cleanliness and unfortunately they turned to be true: certainly more attention should be put to cleaning. For example a carpet in the living room desperately needed vacuum cleaning, but it didn’t happen during 8 days we were there, though the room was “cleaned” daily. Another example: one day we forgot and left a dirty pan in the sink. In other hotels, even it’s not their obligations, the staff would wash it, but here they left it as is (meaning the sink was not cleaned neither). Some other items to consider: upon arrival there was one tablet for a dishwasher and washing powder for 1 wash. There were also some small toiletries and a bottle of water. During our stay only the water was refilled daily, the rest not at all. Fortunately I read such comments before arrival so I brought such staff with me, as well as a dish sponge and dishwashing liquid, which are not provided at all and I find it weird. Another item to consider is that the hotel is not suitable for people on wheelchairs or with walking problems since there are no lifts. Even to reach the ground floor apartments one need to climb some steps. Those who come with children may note that there’s no playground in the hotel (fortunately there are two public playgrounds nearby).

Is a really lovely hotel for a relaxing holiday. The rooms are very well equipped, clean and spacious with two balconies and comfortable beds. It feels very private due to the positioning of balconies and space between rooms. There were always enough sunbeds and pool never felt crowded. No loud music or noise at night. The waiting staff were very friendly and accomodating. You can order food and drinks which were all good and reasonably priced for the area. The location is ideal as very close by there is a small supermarket as well as a very nice restaurant on the corner with a separate quiet section with indoor play area for young children but also a lively atmosphere in main area. The beach is a short walk and there is a promenade which leads all the way to the old town. There are very many restaurants to choose from. We didn't need a car. Booked airport transfers from Booking.com which worked very well. Many excursions can be booked and they pick up from hotel. Bookwithlocals.com did one to the Land of Legends theme park which my kids loved and is good for all ages. I also had some dental treatment with Side Dental Centre who picked me up from the hotel. The treatment, facilities, quality, service and price were all exceptional and made me realise how basic the nhs dental provision is. I will return there if I need more work done on my teeth in future.
