How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewLoved the breakfast buffet, room was beautiful, staff was friendly, hotel looks nice
It was quite far from everything, a lot of tours wouldn’t pick me up. No airconditioning so it was very hot

Verified reviewThe view from the property was lovely and the restaurant served good food.
Unfortunately, the rest of our experience was not great. The location is poor and not convenient at all. The rooms felt stuffy, smelled of humidity, and there was no air conditioning. They have different “categories” of rooms, each with very different layouts, so what you see in the photos might not be what you get. The staff were not helpful or accommodating, and we decided to check out earlier than planned. Honestly, I don’t understand how this place has an 8.8 rating.

Verified reviewI overall had a wonderful experience. The room itself was spacious, comfortable, and full of character, with plenty of room to relax. The hotel grounds were beautiful – the outdoor spaces were perfect for enjoying the views and relaxing, and the breakfast was tasty with a nice selection. The staff were generally friendly and helpful throughout my stay, which I really appreciated.
The bathroom was impressively large, though the ventilation could be improved as steam from the shower left the room feeling damp. The lighting in the room was dimmer than expected, which made it a bit dark even during the day. However, I did encounter a frustrating issue with airport transport. I had arranged this through the hotel, and while the transport personnel and hotel staff had confirmed a new time, that change was not communicated to me. When I asked for clarification, the staff member I spoke to was dismissive and unhelpful, which left a sour note on an otherwise great stay.

Verified reviewStaff were very friendly and attentive. We especially felt very welcomed by Hasan. He made the stay even better
Our room had no airconditioning- which was a huge surprise to me. I assumed a hotel of this standard would definitely have it considering the weather was 30 degrees plus every single day. So in short, we had all the luxuries, a jacuzzi, wonderful views but no AC.

Verified reviewI had a wonderful experience at this hotel! Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised with a free room upgrade, which made my stay even more special. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make me feel welcome throughout my stay. The location is also great—just a quick 10-minute drive from Göreme, so it's peaceful but still close to everything. I’d definitely stay here again!

Verified reviewThe hotel overall design is spectacular.
The bedrooms had no AC, so the air inside was heavy. There was an awful sewage smell in the room, pretty uncomfortable since the bedroom had no window. The most unpleasant surprise was the fact that we booked a tour (green tour) upon our arrival for 80€ per person, trusting that the hotel would provide the best offer for their guests, but surprisingly the very same tour booked in any local tour shop costs 40€ max per person (there are ones for less than that, ex: 28€). We confronted the hotel, and they had no explanation apart of lowering to 60€ per person. Even though I believe it's dishonest to the hotel guests.

Verified reviewA great place to stay for a quick trip to Cappadocia to join a hot air balloon ride (which was an amazing experience!) - the staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable.
A bit of a way out of the main town / shops, with expensive transfers the only way to get around. Lots of stairs to navigate with luggage / to get around (although the staff were super helpful with this).

Verified reviewBeautiful hotel with helpful staff. Very comfy bed
Location is out of town, good for relaxation, but not so convenient. Some room do not have air con, and its was very hot when we were there. We book 2 rooms, one room has and another one does not. Any month other than Summer would have been fine.

Verified reviewBeautiful rooms, very nicely finished, building overall was also nice and had great views. Food was good at the restaurant and service did their best to help. Breakfast was very good and had variety. Indeed it was close to some of the best attractions in the area and they were very helpful organising a camel ride trip.
One of the rooms, due to an air-conditioning issue it was slightly hot, yet they provided a fan, since the rooms are caves, at night it wasn't a problem.

Verified reviewLocation was amazing, the view is spectacular. And it’s away from other hotels so it’s so peaceful. The staff were exceptional, they upgraded us to 2 gorgeous rooms, one with an awesome jacuzzi. They were so accommodating & helpful. They even recommended some meals at the restaurant that were delicious! Would definitely stay here again.

Can be suffocating in Summers as there is no Air co conditioning. Table fans are provisioned upon asking.

Verified reviewWe loved the rooms. Each one had unique qualities and all were very comfortable. Ours was 401 near the top and had a fantastic view of sunrise. We also kept our patio door cracked at night to hear the birds and local mosque payers which makes the experience as authentic as possible.
I would not say there was anything I did not like. But I would mention the stairs. If someone has issues they should mention that when booking as room 104 is 6 flights of stairs down the hill and there is no elevator due to the stone carved rooms. Still a 5-star experience!

Verified reviewCharacter hotel with picturesque common spaces that had views over surrounding buildings & valley. Quiet location & no noise from adjoining rooms. Plenty of car parking spaces on site. Good breakfast & nice dining room & terrace.
Double room was small & basic. Small window & set back from view. Out of the way location so guests need to have a car. Food from restaurant was average. Noise from guests on common terraces late at night disturbing other guests. Disappointing that staff on site did not monitor & manage this.

Verified reviewUnique cave experience and higher end rooms very comfortable with great views. Pleasant terrace spaces to relax. Quiet area about 15 minute drive from Goreme. Good breakfast included.
Basic rooms less spacious & comfortable than shown in pictures on net. No pool. Location - need a car to access shops, restaurants, unique landscapes, sights of interest. Guests without own transport are reliant on the in house restaurant & it was going through a transition. Meals were disappointing. Hotel overpriced.
