How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewI honestly don’t understand how this hotel gets a 9.5 rating on booking.com. Overall, our experience at Unsal Hotel was not good. We booked a garden view room, which turned out to be the first room downstairs, right next to the pool and hotel bar. The bar played music until midnight even though they had no customers, making it impossible to have a quiet rest. The only two positives were: location is great, just a short walk to the beach. The pool is beautiful, looks clean, and is a nice place to sunbathe.
The room facilities were disappointing. The blanket was rough like a scouring pad, and when we asked for an extra one, the front desk gave us something that felt more like a bath towel. The shower gel and shampoo were watered down, and the hairdryer stopped working midway. When we reported it, a staff member came with tools after 30 minutes, but there was no spare hairdryer available. Housekeeping was also inconvenient. During our 5-night stay, they came at random times (9:45 am, 11:00 am, and 1:15 pm) and spoke no English, only saying “no English.” If we couldn’t let them clean right away, they simply didn’t return that day, which meant we often had to wait for them before continuing our activities. Lastly, when I got injured and asked the front desk for first aid, they only gave me iodine and cotton and told me to buy bandages myself at the supermarket across the street.
Dear Guest, We are sad to hear that you were not satisfied with your stay. We apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced. however, there are some points we would like to shed light on. The shower gels and shampoos are refilled regularly and we stopped using single use ones due to our sustainability policies. We assure you that they are original Dove products. The hairdryers might lock themselves as a result of over usage and if you wait a few minutes they will start working again. that was the case with your hairdryer and there was no need to replace it. Still we do not understand why you complained about this. Somebody came to check the hairdryer and found our that it was working. What is the point of replacing it? As for the daily cleaning of the rooms; There is no fixed times to clean your room. They go into the rooms that are available for cleaning, but you could have notified the reception about what time you would like your room to be cleaned and they would have arranged it for you. There is no rule that says the housekeepers should speak English or any other foreign language. The reception is the place to solve your problems. apart from these issues, We once again apologise for the other issues you have encountered. We will do everything to fix them.

Verified reviewProperty shows as 3 star on google however this is definitely a 4 star. Rooms are decently sized with great amenities. Pool and pool area was clean. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Didn’t need a car at all, except for when we visited Babadag which we used the local bus for in order to keep our parking spot.
The street the hotel is located was always busy with traffic, we got really lucky with parking however there were many cars double parked.

Verified reviewWhat an unexpected stay! We already had some high expectations but my god what a hotel it is! Cozy yet stylish, clean, comfortable and yet the prices are unbelievable with this comfort. I had to organize my engagement proposal and hotel manager Suleyman helped me a lot along with other requests. Big thanks to Unsal hotel! See you again soon :)

Verified reviewSmall cozy boutique hotel with great facilities and accessibility to everything (beach, restaurants, market). Pool area felt almost like private as it was rarely fully occupied and there were always available sunbeds. Staff is friendly and respectful.

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful stay and would recommend! Pros: - only a 5 minute walk from the beach - has beautiful pool with water you can simply walk into and is refreshing in the heat - breakfast included - glad we got a room with a jacuzzi tub as we took advantage of it to relax - on a quieter street (we realized on our last day that the next street over has a market, lots of bars and restaurants and LOTS of people - I appreciated that our hotel was not like that as our stay was the end of a busy trip to Istanbul) Things to be aware of: - The “hot tub” pictured near the pool is the same temperature as the pool. Not cold but also not warm/hot — not a major issue given how hot it is in the summer - In our room, the tile between the room and the bathroom was not flush — I tripped more than once and got a little cut on my toe

A lot of noise outside at night. I like to sleep all dark but some lights enter the room because i can not cover the windows 100%.

Verified reviewThe hotel is beautifully laid out with flowers and lovely looking decor and the pool is great. The staff were brilliant and very friendly and helpful. It’s very close to the beach (3 min walk) and lovely restaurants.
The only downside was that you could hear the loud music from the party street one street away, but we were able to sleep through it with the fan in the room on, which we needed as it was so hot. The music didn’t go on all night either :)

Verified reviewUnsal Hotel are by far the best hotel we have used in turkey. The facilities and rooms were very well maintained, it was really a pleasure to stay at Unsal Hotel and the staff was professional and friendly. The manager was very friendly and helpful, he got us a good price for our paragliding. They have a great restaurant and the wifi where surprisingly fast, they have a router in every room. All in all a perfect experience. Staying In Ölüdeniz, this is the place.

Verified reviewUnsal Hotel is a real 'home from home'. Staff can't do enough for you and you really get a sense of it being family-run. Always see the same staff and management have a real presence. The location is superb, 5 mins walk to beach, supermarket across the road, a great selection of bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Great priced food and drinks in the restaurant. Lovely breakfast choices. Superb pool with separate kids pool and jacuzzi. We found our bedroom to be so comfortable, huge bed, travel cot for our daughter, cleaned whenever we wanted it, everything replenished, bottles of water provided, pool towels changed whenever we wanted, great view of the pool and mountains from our balcony. Would highly recommend and would return in the future if we come back to OluDeniz.
1st night I thought 'yikes, it's noisy!' with the cocktail bar across the road blaring 80's and 90's hits out til gone midnight, but we soon realised the aircon in our room drowned out the noise so no problem sleeping thereafter.

Verified reviewGreat family-owned hotel in the center of Oludeniz, minutes away on foot from the Blue Lagoon and dolmus bus pickup. Very clean, big pool-view room with great views of surrounding mountains and paragliders. Free breakfast buffet with great selection and eggs-to-order. Best part was the staff. Extremely helpful, very friendly and always service-with-a-smile. Will definitely stay here again when I return to Oludeniz.

Verified reviewWe did a quick overnight stay from Antalya. Love the location - this is a great town for a beach vacation and the hotel location and proximity to parking are both excellent.
Not sure the coffee cups in the room were cleaned from the last guests. Otherwise, room and facilities were clean.

Verified reviewThe facilities were really good (the pool, the pool shower, changing room, the restaurant). The hotel is very cosy and the fact that it’s a family business makes it better. The staff and the manager are very nice and welcoming. In addition to all of this, it’s very close to the beach.
I felt the room floor was a bit dusty
