Shower head broken, water in the sink is clogged, air conditioner works questionably. After the workers who were smth fixed next to the door, garbage was thrown around in the room all the time, even though the hotel maid was in the room.

The room wasn’t cleaned for three days despite our requests, and we had to ask several times for fresh towels. We booked a king-size bed but received two single beds joined together. The air-conditioning couldn’t be adjusted and was always very cold. At night, some noise from other rooms and outside could be heard.

The location is excellent, right in the city center, with easy access to all main attractions. The price is also very good for the area, making it a great value overall.

They say daily housecleaning but they never cleaned our room once during our 5 night stay. This is not a problem normally if we are expecting it, but they kept promising to come each day and never did. While breakfast is fine, we often had to ask for coffee when the pot ran out (and we always arrived early, not at the end of the breakfast period). Again, no big deal, but it is little details (and there were several more like lights that didn’t work in the room, a constantly dripping water valve in our bathroom that created a constant pool of water on the bathroom floor. I mentioned it to the manager, but it never got fixed) and the lack of attention to them that made our stay “just ok and not great”

The location was good and the staff in particular were able to help with our questions (sometimes we did have to find someone who was more fluent in English but there was usually one person around who had fluency). The room was clean and it was adequate for our overnight stay (we were transiting through Izmir).

Lack of onsite parking, but you can pay to park at a place nearby. The self-catering unit was reasonably limited. The accessible and well stocked mini-bar was overly enticing to our 3 year old.

Great location, close walk to the beachfront, a Migros, and a multitude of coffee shops, restaurants and pubs. The street outside hosted a farmers market on the Sunday we were there. Izmir was a fantastic location for our day-trip to visit historical Ephesus and picturesque Kusadasi. For the runners visiting Alsancak, there is a fantastic beachfront promenade in addition to cycle paths straddled with play areas for kids.

There are two points that fellow travellers should be aware of: 1) The air-conditioner seems to be pre-programmed by the hotel. So, if you want the room colder or warmer, you're out of luck. In my case, I had to open the window to get the room a little cooler. The negative side of that is you end up hearing all the outside noise. 2) The doors close with a loud "bang" which woke me up at all hours of the night and morning. Even if you try to close the door lightly (on the way out), you will still make enough of a bang to awaken or disturb tbe other guests on the same floor (and probably below and above too). So, if you are a light sleeper, best bring some really good earplugs.

The hotel is located right next to a fun street full of eateries and stores. It's also a short walk from Alsancak train station which goes directly to the airport (SAW).

The housekeeping staff would start knocking at 0800 in the morning to check if we needed housekeeping, and then when we put the"Clean my room"card on the door, they wouldn't clean it for the entire day. Stuffing the bags in an extremely cramped up elevator was a task.

The hot water was broken our first night there, although that did get fixed. The thermostat would periodically blink very brightly during the night which was a bit annoying. Bathroom was good enough but was so small that my knees hit the shower door if I sat on the toilet.

The location in Alsancak is nice, it's close to lots of cafes and restaurants. The room was generally comfortable and the staff were friendly.

We had to have our room key re-programmed a couple of times, but staff was helpful and fixed the problem quickly.

We liked being in Alsancak, close to lots of restaurants, shops, and a short walk from the izban station. Our room was equipped with a kettle, stovetop and fridge. Internet access was good.

i didnt care for the location of the hotel. it was a bit confusing and the area was a bit rough. it was also hard for the taxis to determine where to pick me up from. the signs were a bit confusing is all.

i loved the bathroom it was nice and well put together. the sink was amazing , it made the bathroom really stand out. the shower was nice and spacious.

Nice room but poor service. In 5 days, the room was cleaned only once and I was left without towels for a day and a half and received them only after multiple complaints at the reception. The shower gel and hand soap were only on the first day in small quantities and then I received only shower gel after complaining at the reception.
